As a card collector I would say no, but singles. As someone looking to buy a box of cards and get the best return, no, buy set/play booster box’s. If your just purely wanting to open the most fun thing and don’t care about making your money make, then yes lol

It definitely feels like it was gone before we knew it was here. It’s one of my favorite recent sets but I also think it got overshadowed by everything with the marvel secret lair and subsequent release of foundations

@@mockristmasmtg looking at things that seems to happen a lot with some great sets even Bloomburrow. Awesome set in my opinion but it got overshadowed as well.

Yeah it’s definitely looking like most people aren’t getting their money back with these. I got lucky and wouldn’t buy another or advise anyone else to buy them at this point

At every Walmart I’ve ever been to there’s a trading card section at the front of the store near the checking lanes somewhere. There you’ll find sports cards, mtg, Pokémon, and more, along with cards storage stuff. You should always be able to find the newest sets there and then from time to time mystery cubes and stuff. Target also has this section in the front of their stores

@@mockristmasmtg I also got the 4 color group hug commander from 2016 from a mystery cube. I just move the cards in it to see if it’s a good face commander to see if I wanna buy it.

Dude that’s a good question…. The thing is, there a lot going for that set and eventually the price will have to level out and come back down a bit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it tops $1,000 first. Not only does it have some really powerful cards in, but it’s got special serial numbered cards as well. Not to mention with it being lord of the rings, it brings non magic player collectors into it as well. It’s a one of a kind set

I would love to be wrong tho and have it come back down sooner than later, I want to buy more of it lol
