Roland FA08 Real time Controls
Переглядів 6764 роки тому
Real-time controls on the Roland FA series tend to go crazy. Might be dust, dirt, humidity, etc. After dealing with this issue for months, I decided to open up the Roland FA-08 and replace all the 6 potentiometers. Notice, the potentiomenter I used is the PTV09A-4225F-B103, if you don't like the "detent in the center", then you mignt need to look for the PTV09A-4025F-B103 which has no stop in t...
I have this issue too. I will have to do the same, thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you!!
Excellent video
Thanks!
Have you had to change the LCD screen?
Nope
Hello Manuel. I have this same problem. Before sending it for a Roland service, I would like to try using any contact cleaner without disassembling the panel. How to take off the buttons? Should I just pull them?
Yes, just pull them off, although, in my case it just lasted a few weeks, then the pots started acting up again, which is why I decided to replace them.
Hi, This is useful! Could you tell me from your disassembly how difficult it might be to replace the realtime control knob PCB? Im getting ridiculous crosstalk between the controls.
Good vid - hope everything is ok with your Roland...
Everything is ok now, just had to replace the real-time controllers, which is in another video on my channel, thanks for asking :)
@@manpaz Sounds like the same problem im having!
My FA08 doesn’t even turn on. It’s not the power adapter,. Thanks for your video. I won’t know what to look for but I’m going to open it up.
@@chucktripi9328 did you end up getting it working?
I have exactly the same issue. I will try resoldering new pots. Thanks a lot for this video, it really helped!
Hi Manuel,, need you help greatly. I too have a similar problem with my fa 06 keyboard knobs. I don't have a Roland service center near. So I decide to replace the control pots myself. Could you guide me to open the main chassis screws, internal circuits, . any video on that will be a great help. Thank you.
Thanks for watching the video, I posted a new video taking apart the Roland FA-08, ua-cam.com/video/aCgrRRx3K4s/v-deo.html
Thanks a lot for sharing :)
