Tip if you want it to look as good as in the video, check the lighting it isnt as low but as powerful which gives the best effect, if the light in your scene is too powerfull then the saber will be difficult to see and will give the effect that the saber kindof dissapears, while if the light is too weak, the saber will just look artificial and png like, this also aplie if you have an actual glowing lightsaber and what you are doing is masking the light out of them.
