      Yes, when we finish my friend and I will run it all in one loop, no stops. No way to know how many hours. Toby was a full year in before I got there and I've been there for 2 years. Most of the time playing the game, building other things and shenanigans with our time. We get into a road spurt every few months and pound out a bunch, then go back to other things in the game.

    ugh, biggest peeve is floating stone. I love the game, but finding a community or creating one is impossible. Too many people want to play with cheats and mods that kill the game. I have a server, but anyone I invite will play for a couple days before getting bored. Then Im left cleaning up their crap and fixing the terrain. I need a good game, badly.

      @@Justtwodangmany A great game buddy makes all the difference. I have vanilla worlds and cheat worlds. Both are fun but very different. I find being in creative mode on the collective site better for me and grinding in my private worlds preferable. So many hours in, all of one or all of the other can become tedious. Bast of luck. This seems very nice ! May i ask you question ? First, if the world is some years old, how do this work with the new updates ? For example is the ashlands just a wasteland in this world ? I suppose the world is heberged or something on the computer of someone ? How did you proceed ? What is the most economic choice in general ? (i'm from France so probably not the same possibility than you and your pal, so take it as a general question) How many people played on this world at maximum ? I want to construct things but im a bit sad to do it alone and if the place i build are not habited or used :/ Also : is it in creative or survival ? :0

      We have intentionally stayed, mostly, out of the biomes we knew were going to be expanded. Staying out of the Deep North still until it's update. That way, when the updates come through, so far, it gets updated quite naturally. Toby started this world 3+ years ago with a friend of his. They are both still there. I was invited in 2 years ago. A few others have toured, one other has picked their first building area, but not started construction yet. You can contact Toby through his Twitch act and/or his UA-cam, for an interview and tour. We have just started to recruit new peaceful builders. His links are in the description. Toby & I share the costs of the world. He can fill you in on further details of what it took to start it all up, as it was him who originally set it up. I don't know those deets.... I just spend hours and hours in there creating and building. Though I have come into this world with Vanilla characters, my first and most advanced character is mostly there. We have adjusted the settings over time to preserve our builds. We were, of course, raided many many times in the first long time... but now we have made it a less volatile place to build at ease. All of us grind in our own worlds and Toby for sure has ground it out, and continues to in this world. Have a great day & thanks for the comment/questions.

      @@ThePsychicwendy Oh, so you mean the generation of the biome happens only when we are close to them ? That makes sense. For example, since ashlands, when you went there AFTER the release there was the charred fortress, the mobs, etc ? I'm not sure i understand the rest of the answer tho (not native english speaker here x_x) When you mean raided, you mean, by players ? Or mobs ? To be clear i don't intend to join, i'm french and i would like to basically create a sort of world like this with my friends. Not sure if i should mention that but i'm 31 and sometimes i'd like to have an easy way to hang with friends who are far away, alternative world like valheim are a nice place to build and meet with these pals.

      @ThePsychicwendy 7 днів тому

      @@lysvaerd4480 Yes. They generate when you go close. After the Ashlands upgrade, we went in and had all the right stuff... charred forests and all. Yes, I meant that we were raided by mobs, not players. Only a few of us here and we are all friendly. Yes, having a great land shared with friends is the way to go. I hope you go ahead and create one. You can have friends join you in your existing worlds by inviting them in when you are on already. They just wouldn't have access to it when you were not there. Great visual story telling. I made a grave to the first boar I had tamed, he sired around a dozen piglets, only to have a Graydwarf raid destroy the pen and killed all but my first boar who ran off into the woods. Several hundred hours of game play later I randomly discovered him far across the large island I was on. I worked and worked and at long last got him back to my main village (did not have the harpoon yet) where I set him in a more defended pen to try and breed a second generation. Again, after getting right around a dozen or so pigs I was then raided by werewolves, who pack a considerable punch! They proceeded to destroy a chunk of my village and loosed the pigs who promptly attacked them. I was able to make it to the fight just as the last remaining werewolf dispatched my boar. I named him Hardy, because he was and he had survived two raid attacks for in his dying act he gored the werewolf killing it. Hardy succumbed to the frost attack lingering effect seconds later. He may have only been a two star, but he was a five star in my eyes. That will do pig... that will do.

      @ThePsychicwendy 8 днів тому

      I lift my cup, with tears in my eyes and thank you for sharing Hardy's story. It's comforting, reading the details of his tumultuous life and knowing that you were right there by his side in his final moments. You have honored him well with a grave in your world. His offspring, no doubt, will carry his epic survival skills and loving nature for generations to come. Cheers.

    I am at around 4900 hours in Valheim in a single world and at first I was building little sheds and huts just to survive and learn the game mechanics. Then right around hour 700 I remember seeing the "King's Road" video (another really long road) and started to link my small buildings together.. By hour 1000 I started to make small towns at strategic points and was getting better at building, making taller towers, longer bridges, and more complex builds. I was playing slowly and progressing just a bit over all of that. Didn't beat Bonemass until around hour 1800. At that point I started cutting canals through low isthmus portions of the map to save on sailing time. The challenge I set myself was to make it such that a cart could be pulled on all my roads or a long boat could pass through the canals. So far, it is working out, but it is taken some time. Oh, and I am doing it myself... so even longer. I should make a video some time and run the longest stretch on my trails just to see how it times out too. I was around 4200 hours when the Aslands update allowed from game modifiers and cost free construction. Up till then I was paying for everything like vanilla Valheim. So, now I can do things like in this video with limitless stone and high end materials without the use of mods. I wonder how many people have helped build this massive world / path. What happened at 19:57 - looks like it locks up... only to have a tree fall into the water at 20:05 Too bad much of the video is at night and in a thunderstorm.... not the most ideal showing off of the massive road. Still cool and has given me some ideas for my building.

    • @ThePsychicwendy
      @ThePsychicwendy 8 днів тому

      2 of us have built the road. There is another player in our world, but not involved in the road builds. Your world sounds amazing. Yes, it locked up, I assume a "world save" point, then a glitch of some kind. Not too sure there. It sounded like a boat dropping, to me. No idea what it was. I know it was terrible weather for my jog. My buddy and I will be finishing it soon, then run it all in one (the main circle) with no stops along the way for a true time count once and for all. I've never seen The King's Road. I will look for it. Thanks for your comment/impute. Peace.

      @@iloshwdgac9213 Wasn't there a video about running the King's Road.... didn't it have some sort of game breaking modification that had to be cut off and the road built anew around the render distance from that fault so that players could continue down the path ? I recall that if the game attempted to render some alteration or added object that it would crash and the only way to "fix" it was to just build around the problem area. They could not even delete the now dead end portion because that would require rendering the problem spot/item. So there were just a whole bunch of WARNING signs where the road suddenly took a 90 degree turn to start around that mystery spot. One of the videos did show a person ignore the signs and they went a few meters down the original path before the game just locked up and the screen went black after a few seconds. I believe it was some combination of added vegetation and objects in a shrine like clump and some conflict of objects simply broke the program.

    This must be done in creative, harvesting and transporting this amount of material would take longer then the game exists. Love the build but i only play the game so my builds are limited to what i can harvest.
