Vw Caddy Campervan hire & converters in Peterborough, UK.
Our Caddy campers can sleep 4, with 2 in the roof top tent and 2 inside. VW Caddy Campers are an awesome size to travel around, as they are no bigger than a family car, but have everything inside their bigger sisters, the transporters have.
The Caddy can also drive with 4, as we have 4 belted seats, meaning a group of friends, family or you and your dogs can travel in comfort.
The birch plywood furniture in our Caddy Camper is bespoke to us. We designed and built it, so if you are interested, please drop us an email for more information.
We have used a tweed and tan look for our interior and our rock and roll bed is also a custom design for us.

Our VW Caddy maxi Camper van is up for sale.
Perfect for all occasions the VW Caddy maxi camper conversion is a great daily driver that’s easy to drive and park that within minutes turns into living accommodation for four.
Unlike many advertised as VW campers, this is a FULL conversion with everything needed to get up and go, including: Flexible, belted rock & roll bed which slides on rails to maximise either storage or dining space. A 36 litre top loading fridge, removable & collapsible sink, tap, removable two ring hob, full electrics, diesel heater and all cables, crockery, cutlery, table, chairs and more.
This micro camper van has all of the amenities you normally find in a larger VW Camper Van transporter (T4, T5, T6 or similar) but without the relative price tag. VW Caddy’s are also much easier to drive and park, with better fuel economy.
Vehicle details: 2015 65 plate VW Caddy Maxi Startline 1.6 Diesel, Manual. Ex British Gas which means it comes with air-con and dual sliding doors over the normal Startline spec. Upgraded 16” steels with all-terrain tyres for that swamper look. Colour coded bumpers and black roof rails. This has always been serviced on time, the most recent a full service at the end of February-23. The cambelt was replaced in April-22. It comes with 12 months MOT (until March-24). The mileage is just 40,000.
As this was a hire vehicle we will sell everything with it so the buyer can head straight out to camp. This includes hook up cable, chocks, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, toaster, kettle, a decent size fold up table and 4 camping chairs.
The roof top tent (which was customised, with the piping matching the van) and pull out awning are also included, although we can negotiate on the advertised price if the buyer doesn’t want these and just wants to sleep two.

The sink and cooker are not needed when the bed is out so should fold away. 5 Priorities when camping. 1 Headroom inside for standing during prolonged bad weather. 2 Really spacious comfy bed, 3 Heater. 4 Maximum storage space, 5 Fridge. Also table and seating and an awning. Also space for a Porta Potty without compromising a full width bed. Also total blackout on windows at night so lights/moon/sunrise do not disturb sleep. And double glazed windows or very tight fitting insulating blinds all round.
This is definitely the best camper conversion I have seen in a caddy.

I'd say a dose of reality is needed in conversions.. a maxi is a camper for 1, maybe 2 people (at a push). making a case for 4 people is a bit silly - get a motorhome or even a transporter at a minimum for that. Some of the ideas are good though, situation dependant. (FYI - Audio was a struggle in this video)
Thanks for the feedback and watching the video. Please see our new video for better sound quality, we invested in a mic!!! A Motorhome or transporter of the same quality would be a lot more money, more mpg, a Motorhome couldn’t be used as a daily driver. But yes, there are pros & cons for everything 👍🏻
I actually thought this was one of the best conversions that i have seen for a small campervan. I really think that if you need to use a car during the day for work, etc, then hop off to the country for the weekend. This is the car to do it, plus you can still carry passengers. Agree it's smaller than a VW camper, but it will be easier to drive down smaller roads in Scotland like the Route 500. Well done, guys . i'd love to buy the kit if you ever get around to selling it.
Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's "silly". I downsized from a ducato to a caddy and I love it. I lived in mine for 5 months last year with 2 dogs so it's possible - though obviously not for everyone!

Brilliant layout. Have a caddy maxi life basic overnight sleeping accommodation and diesel heater. Wou definitely be interested in the possibility of slot in prefab units. Keep up the good work

It's hard to imagine two adults comfortably sleeping in this. I'd rather have full width bed with sink in front where the bench is. Won't sit four but I don't think it fits four very well anyway.

I think you should market a kit, to build a side pod and the bed .
