Hi, can you apply for CAF even if you will be in France for only 1 semester? +- 5 months?
Hi, To be able to apply for the CAF you have to stay a minimum of 8 months, if you leave France before 8 months, the CAF may ask you to reimburse the allowances received.
Wrocław is probably the best city in Europe let alone Poland. I am no student but I would recommend it to absolutely everyone.

You said book a place as soon as possible but should I wait for at least untill I get my visa?
Hi, you will probably need a place of residence for your visa. Having a place to stay most of the time is a requirement for obtaining your visa. Most landlords and booking platforms understand this situation and have cancellation policies in place to return your payment for causes like not obtaining a visa. This shouldn't avoid you from securing a good accommodation now☺.
