Love the music in "Enemies, A Love Story". Wish I could find a CD of this opera. I am reading the book now and it is fantastic! Any ideas where I could find the CD? Plan on seeing this opera in November. Taking a class on the three operas coming this fall. Thanks.

I am from the Washington DC area and have seen opera at major companies all over the US. I was tempted by this Boheme because of a review I read of a performance Corinne Winters gave of Violetta in Washington this past summer. Coincidentally, I was in Louisville on business when this production opened, and obtained a ticket for opening night. Kentucky Opera should be proud of this production with its youthful cast, and should re-engage all members of the cast at its first opportunity

I have always been a fan....disability has made it hard for me to get there, and I am sure that is true for many of us aging folks :-(

So beautiful, but I am heartbroken that the Louisville Orchestra did not play for this performance because of unsuccessful contract negotiations between the LO, Inc and the musicians. It is my understanding that the musicians would have played for this performance at the rate in the former union contract, but Ky Opera felt it was too much. So unfair to everyone, especially the performers. I love the opera, but I couldn't keep my mind on the performance and had to leave at intermission.
