Not sure if your still having this issue, but I have found a solution as I was in the same situation, the black base of the armaspec (where the pin goes through rod and is captured in the slot) can be disassembled, and what I did was take that base and on the side that doesn’t have the writing on it just simply cut the plastic in half so the secondary spring has enough room to fully compress, it works.

Actually, the pins shouldn't be flipped like that. The guide pin with the plastic sleeve goes on bottom on both sides. That type of pin should always be on the leading edge (when moving forward), so a rear mounted caliper would be the lower one. What I would suggest looking into is if there is play between the pads/hardware/bracket (as in can the pad move in the direction of rotation) and the rotor to wheel stud clearance. I'm going through this right now on a 2014 and trying to figure out if the clamping force between wheel/rotor/hub is affected and allowing the rotor to be loose between wheel and hub which would make a knock upon applying the brakes. It also isn't on every application of the brakes, to be noted.

I have the sylvan arms folding stock adapter (SA5) so does this mean I fall in the same boat?

need a high temp brake lube since brake get hot AF. otherwise, many lubricants break down with high temperatures that brakes see regularly.

I'm going to go into my brake system tomorrow and I'll report what I find. My clunking sound (repeating every couple seconds) when I reverse, in the rear of the car. Then a single clunking sound when I go forward. This tells me it's a break seating issue. but we'll see tomorrow when I delve into it.

Hey! Subscriber with the 2.5 swap again. THIS video is what I’m tackling TODAY. I’ve sat on my new shifter cables since I did my engine swap over a year ago, and it’s all because of the disassembly process just to get to those two bolts underneath the airbox. I didn’t want to do it because it’s been a pain, but once again, your videos give me confidence. I’m actually tackling two issues. First, the shifter cables. Plus, I need to fix my reverse light switch at the shifter tower. It has continuity at the pigtail, but the lights aren’t activating when I shift into reverse. So I will be putting in my spare shifter tower today to see if that fixes it.
