This movement cannot be played any better. A moving composition, sensitively interpreted.
Absolutely sublime. And you have the most gorgeous tone and balance. Thank you.
Woah, why so loud? The opening of this piece is marked piano and the "repeat" pianissimo. And where's the crescendo in the split chord section? It's just all loud! And heavy. Even the middle section is too loud. No joyful wedding this.
I've been enjoying William Westney's book "The Perfect Wrong Note", which every piano teacher and student should read, but I didn't enjoy this performance much. Why snatch at those opening phrases? And why play the middle section slower instead of faster, as marked? Above all, where's the magic in this music? Sorry, William!
