Varies massively depending on region unfortunately, many in the UK will charge upwards of £50 (about 60 USD). We're able to decode these very same codes for just £4.99 (about $5 USD), and all we require is the serial number from the back. This is the cheapest you'll find these codes for anywhere, but unfortunately our other comment linking to our BMW decoder page was taken down by this channel because they don't seem to be interested in helping car owners, just recommending the more expensive app - maybe they're being paid for it. Either way our BMW service can be found by searching Google for "Rapid Radio Codes BMW".
The guy I bought my bmw Z3 roadster from lost the radio pass code card. Before I bought car, he called bmw dealer & they gave him another code, but he wrote the numbers down wrong. While I paid him for the car I asked if he could call dealer again, they wouldn't give him another code, and wanted me, the buyer to take car to a dealer. It'been two years now, I still can't listen to stereo & six-cd changer.whst can I do?
If you happen to get that code tattoo it on your arm because once you lose it forget about it.. it's a nightmare.. or replace it with a single DIN Old School radio with a cassette player add an optional CD player connection
LOL! Bmw can't supply car with locking gas cap,(anyone can put sugar in),but like pulling teeth for piece of shit RADIO(as bmw calls it!! Yes rip it out buy a killer stereo with amp, GPS,&then some!! Screw that NAZI MOBILE!!!;@@angeldiaz4613
I went to the dealership and they couldn't provide me with the code. I found a code in the owners manual, and tried that, but it doesn't cut the radio on. Any suggestions? I have radio serial number, I just need the proper code.
I was amazed at the lack of this bit of knowledge in the automotive repair community! Most I contacted referenced their code readers and the inability of a reset function.
Thank you! I previously waited the 90 minutes after battery re-connection but that didn't reset the "wait". Another commenter asked about ignition switch to "on" and that is the key! After an hour I was able to correctly enter the code and unlock the radio!
And lo as the sun shone down from high in the year Trump apocalypse plus 20, we were still waiting, but now no one drives cars with combustion engines, ha ha.
Are you smoking a cigarette? That's not very smart. And in your car? That's dirty and stupid.
So the secret is you have to wait 90 minutes, that's 9 zero .... OK
Does anyone know if disconnecting radio or the battery will skip the process of waiting?
No that won’t help you have to keep power on and the wait time is about an hour after you enter the code
He said 90 minutes like 10 times
So you called bmw and they gave you the code,bc mine said its 300.00 dollars to find it in the car.

Had the same issue. The BMW parts department quickly provided the code to me at no cost.
Just pull your radio and call bmw

Just Wait 90 minutes and then i Can put the Code ?
Yes sorry for the late reply
I did that, but you FIRST have to have code to punch in! It just don't supply you with it! Then you have to confirm new code,(how do u get new one!
Isn’t the battery going to die when you leave it on for that long ?
i waited bout 3 hours while it was plugged into power but it still doesnt allow me to put in another code...
I have the same issue with my Z3

You first have to have a code to punch in!
