Kobe Bryant Lockdown Defense vs. Chris Paul 2011 NBA Playoffs Game 2
Переглядів 58 тис.10 років тому
Kobe Bryant, in spite of a slew of injuries, decided to take out the ardous task of defending Chris Paul, the league's best point guard. Although Phil Jackson opted to switch defenders on Chris Paul, it was Kobe who did a bulk of the lifting and defended Chris Paul by pressuring him full court, talking trash and straight up bodying him up. It wasn't Kobe's best defensive effort, given his knee ...

Kobe Bryant Defense vs. Chris Paul 2013

Two of the league's best guards going at it. In my opinion, one of Kobe's best efforts in his rather lackluster season on the defensive end.
Kobe Bryant: Dominance vs the Miami Heat
Переглядів 8 тис.10 років тому
Clips of Kobe Bryant dominating certain parts of the game, this video, specifically tailored to the famous and popular Miami Heat from 2004 onwards. My criteria for "Dominance" is that the player must either score / assist in consecutive plays, (3 or more, free throws in between do not count), or be plays in the fourth quarter.
Kobe Bryant Lockdown Defense vs. Russell Westbrook
Переглядів 1,4 млн10 років тому
Kobe Bryant playing one of his best lockdown defense of his career where he made it a priority to limit one of the most explosive point guards in the league, Russell Westbrook, from scoring, holding him to a terrible 3/22 shooting. In a crucial game at the end of the season, and the Pacific Division Crown on the line, Kobe Bryant not only came up clutch in this game but also played some of his ...
Kobe Bryant Defense vs. Brandon Jennings and Milwaukee Bucks
Переглядів 37 тис.10 років тому
Kobe Bryant, who played defense sporadically in the 2013 season, upped his intensity and effort on the defensive end (in back-to-back games) against Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks. Brandon Jennings struggled from the field, going 4 for 14 against Bryant, and 1 for 7 from downtown, while grabbing one rebound and dishing out one assist and turning the ball over two times. People debate ...
Kobe Bryant Defense vs. Kyrie Irving 2013

A compilation video where Kobe, during a short stretch of time, upped his defense against one of the better point guards in the league, Kyrie Irving. There are mixed opinions on whether Kobe "shut down" Kyrie Irving or not. Some point out that Kyrie Irving still had an efficient 7/16 shooting, which is good for a perimeter player, while others make the notion that Bryant himself disrupted the o...
Kobe Bryant Off the Backboard to Himself Compilation

A small compilation of Kobe Bryant's patented plays, throwing it off the backboard to himself and either scoring or even dishing it off to his teammates for the score! No copyright intended, made this so people can have this as a reference.
Then higher longer prime and has lost more in that prime. People only focus on total stats. Not winning at all
Go check out the 2013 all star game and see what Kobe’s defense had lebron doing. Then tell us how confident you are about that last statement
If ppl watch this and still think Lebron is better than Kobe you ppl are blind
Kobe disgusted at someone who would leave his team to join another top 3 player in the league
Lebron is so bad
Lebron james is fake King
King James became Queen James. King Kobe.
LeBron ain’t want no part of Kobe.
Who's here after LeBron said he is unguardable?
if kobe were alive and playin in the nba today, the all-star games would still be intense. kobe was a slam dunk champion. lebron ducked the contest his entire career, benefitted from favorable rule changes to pad stats, rode buses to championships, bought the media and attended diddy parties.
After kobe the all star game died and lebron led the league into a downward spiral.
Lebron is just as good then as he is now... terrible dribbling and turnovers lol
Look the body language… tells you everything
Kobe shut that ass down! 😂
Beautiful defense from Kobe, so nice to watch. Lebron, as always, is all hype and no substance.
Now its just a scrimmage 😂 man srop it lbj is a bum sonis curry nba died when kobe retired
And lebron wants us to believe that he was unstoppable playing mj at 16 gtfoh
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Facts
In what world is Lebron better than Kobe..not on Earth. 😅😅
Look at how Kobe shuffles his feet at 6:45 holy shit - that's why he's a top 3 one possession defender of all time
Back when NBA All Star games weren't a joke to watch lol
So funny how Kobe was trying to proved something and playing huge defense on an All Star Game were Lebron was chill asf cause in their entire career Lebron is 16-6 against Kobe while averaging better numbers in all those matches LOL
Lebum playing scared 😂
Lebron james is 16 - 6 against kobe 🤓🤣🤣🤣 Well Kawhi leonard Record vs. lebron is 12-8 all time and beat him in his prime in 2014 and won Final Mvp 🤷🏾😂😂😂😂😂 Kobe over bron all day 😂😂😂
Anytime LeBron is actually defended he sucks
Kobe always wanted to guard the best player. Modern NBA players would get sensitive and complain if Kobe guarded like that in all star games.
Goat
Lebron wanted pick and rolls in an all star game 😂😂
This is why lebron is not better than KOBE
It's pretty ironic to me that the last great NBA All-Star game was also the last season that David Stern was commissioner of the league. 🤔
Notice how the announcers are being truthful and not sugarcoating what was going on..
Should've been Kobe v Melo
If yall can see Kobe knows Bron is dominant with his right hand so the whole time he’s forcing Bron to go left, not letting Bron cross back to his right hand making him drive with his left or making him pass the ball little which you can tell made him uncomfortable but details like that is what made Kobe great at defense
kobe was clamping him 🤣😂
All you gotta do is defend kyrie, his team was trash. Nobody worried about them so this was a simple game plan
It’s very easy to burn all your energy on defense when you have the best players in the world on your team 😂 ask yourselves why doesn’t Kobe play lebron like this every game?! 😒 because he can’t
Yeah because he didn’t jump ship and form super teams every stop of his career
Idiot
@@Au66125thank you for speaking with common sense compared to the clown above
Keep in mind kobe was 34 years old and literally a few games away from a career ending injury, meanwhile LeBron was 27 years old at his prime, really tells you something about kobe and his mentality, and LeBron being a mental midget. R.i.p. TRUE GOAT!
Where was this defense the two games they played that season?? 😭😭 it’s convenient knowing how bron is during allstar games
Go home bron. Go sleep.
whos that anime chick with the green hair?
That’s Kobe guarding LeFlop. Imagine MJ guarding LeFlop.
He was trash talking lebron THE WHOLE TIME this started cause MJ said that year send him left that year and kobe took on the challenge of stopping him the whole game
LeBron has no bag, at all. Most overrated bball player of all time. Trash
What's so special about Tony Allen is that there was nothing really special about Tony Allen. He's 6'4, quick enough but not a burner, above average leaper, but nothing exceptional physically--even undersized by most accounts at SG, and definitely at the 3. He just locked people up with tenacity, understanding of cut-off angles, and an unwillingness to take half a possession off. But he also had the discipline to get perfectly vertical on contests even before there was a verticality rule (like Bruce Bowen).
Made lebron look like an average street baller 😂😂

There is no such thing actually as all time rankings of players. Kobe and lebron have nearly identical stats and kobe has twice the first team all nba defense awards. Of course you don't even mention defense because you don't understand basketball. "Kobe #1 missed shots" as it turns out kobe was actually very good at scoring and being double-triple teamed for a reason.
Lebron joining super teams and beating kobe isn't impressive to anybody with a brain. The fact that you present like it's a lebron is "better" than kobe is absurd.
@@arappinglunchbox6205 LeBron James 40,474 pts on 50.6% fg over 7000 more points and still fewer missed shots then Kobe 33,643 pts on 44.7% fg so try again 😂
@@arappinglunchbox6205 LeBron way better player then yo boy friend Kobe and I gave you all the facts read again and hold this L
@@JacobJosh-tv3jt Steph curry has a fg% of 47.3 in his career. Do you think lebron is a better scorer or shooter than Steph is? Just throwing numbers out without any context is ridiculous. The kinds of shots that Kobe was taking is not the same thing as what lebron does on the court. This is not a knock on lebron at all, but it is a team sport. Lebron’s main thing in his career was driving and either passing out or dunking so yes his fg% is going to be higher than Kobe’s.
The media has done everything to convince us that Kobe isn't in the same realm as LeBron as a player; and you know what? I'd have to agree... KOBE was the far superior player, the more fierce competitor and more feared/respected by peers.
Chris Paul thought he could trash talk Kobe
James has no one on one skill, he hides around screens and other superstars, that’s why he started bouncing around teaming up , only way he was able to get a ring
T-mac was the originator of this move, but he only threw it off the backboard for dunks. Kobe took it and somehow msde it even better. He did it for dunks, layups, floaters, and even passes to open teammates
