Pros: Amazing pliers for its size, the compound system really compliments a smaller multi-tool really well Amazing quarter inch bit driver built in, every multi-tool should have this it's a brilliant design It's pretty cheap and of course it's small! Its size is its best attribute Cons: Literally everything else😂 The side tools are really bad The steel is cheap 3cr and 5cr Chinese steel
This is an OG black powerpint. Newer ones are painted and don’t wear so nicely.
@@D2G10 Oh really? I thought the Power Access I just got was different. It feels cheaper. Thanks for the info!
Good review my friend. My Gerber dime is red. It's not a bad little multi tool. It will work in a pinch.
@@harrydaniels2788 My dad literally used it for 8 months stranded overseas during Covid building stuff and doing stuff at my sister’s house.
👍👍👍 .. got one. Had it for years. Together with a Mini Torch and an Aluminium Capsule containing a rolled up CHF 50.00 on a belt lanyard and that sits in my RH Pants Pocket, part of my Urban EDC.
I feel like I should know what CHF is but I can’t think of it now.
Does this look too much like a military tool to carry in an office?
Absolutely not. I carry it in an out of an office regularly, to places of worship and to my kids school. It’s not tactical looking at all.
I really like mine and carry it every single day.
Me too!
So smart filtering the water from the hose- what sawyer product is that? Just a standard lifestraw? How many years would you expect the shelf life of the water is here. I plan on getting a berkey or similar water tower to further filter my stored water if ever needed.
@GM3430 It’s just a standard Sawyer Mini. The more research I’m doing I might get a Sawyer Push next. I have 3 or 4 LifeStraws also. I’m guessing with the bleach the water will last years but I’ll cycle it every 6-12 months. My garage gets hot in the summer so I want to cycle it.
How dumb could you possibly be to think that those water bottles have the same threads? Did you really just discover this? Did you play with your soft spot when you were a child
It's not really a sawyer issue when they first started all water bottles had the same style of threads but over the last couple of years a lot of companies have started using much cheaper bottles
You’re 100% right. I made a follow up saying I purchased another Sawyer with accessories to fit other stuff and it still doesn’t work but that’s ok, I’ll keep looking. Can’t have too many water filters.
@JebBrilliant yeah all you have to do is make sure that whatever water bottle you buy has a white cap and not the clear cap
@ What kind of secret knowledge do you have? Thanks for the tip!!!
It seems like it fits on the water bottles that actually have good threads, The ones that doesn't fetter the micro caps that have the tiny threads on the bottles that are super super flimsy and not suited for repeated reuse. The problem isn't the filter it's the bottle, it looks set up for standard pop bottle thread.
@RuneBerg6514 thanks for your comment. I’m actually going to do another video on this. I didn’t mean to sound negative towards Sawyer. They’re great and do good for the world. I was honestly surprised, I never gave it much thought. I figured I could take any water and attach my Sawyer Mini to it and get clean potable water.
No hate at all towards Sawyer. It’s just the way their product is made. In my mind though I figured it fit most bottles so I was pretty surprised and need to rethink my water plan. Like maybe buy a few more Smart Water bottles.
Actually... I can't hate on this short. I'd recommend reaching out to them to see if there's any adapters for cheaper bottles on the market
Any advice on any setting to hear the squelch tail. I dont recall the menu option.....i turned it off, and I still dont hear any squelch tail. Is there other settings that I should check??
You want to hear the squelch tail?
@JebBrilliant yes. My ears are accustomed to hearing a squelch tail.
Do you think it would be ok to stack these even if it's just 2 tall?
I’m considering stacking mine but 35lbs is a lot.
I will definitely be buying some of these. I need more water at my home.
Never enough water storage.
This was the first Leatherman I ever got.
A few people have told me that same thing.
I lost my first Micra and bought a second one, it’s that good.
I think I would do the same.
I lost mine too but never got a replacement sadly
@@SquidwradThomas it’s never too late but after making the video and giving it more thought, I definitely prefer other small multi tools.
Had one for a few years but the brighter red/grey one as I'm good at loosing stuff! It's main use is the pliers for dragging hot metal off of the fire and your dad is right, the parcel opener is very handy. It's generally enough for what I need out in the wilderness without having the weight or bulk of a full sized multitool. Tend to carry it with a Victorinox Farmer and there's most of the tools you'll need between the two.
I need to try the package opener more. Does it work well on those hard clear plastic packages?
@@JebBrilliant TBH it's in my stuff sack in a rucksack and only gets taken out with me. I use full size multitools or one of several less expensive knives at home.
@@jelkel25 I think it’s great for travel, especially in situations where carrying a full size multi tool isn’t an option.
I've been wanting to get one of these.
It’s really the best portable and all in one sharpener. It should be in every Proho’s tool box.
What kind of radio holder is that?
It’s some old phone holder I had lying around.
I need to get more radios for my family.
When it comes to the Baofeng’s you can’t have too many bc they break regularly.
Well it will be really sad if we don't get it before Christmas.
Let’s hope we do. I’d really like one with a dark green or black handle.
I'm having the hardest time programming a GMRS repeater into Chirp. Can you please do a video on it?
I’ll try but incorporating a computer screen into my videos might be tough.
Uhmm
LOVE mine so much. I have used it several times at the range when people have gun problems. Double feeds are easy to clear when the bolt locks up. My only issue with it, no file. Highly recommend if you shoot and especially hunt to have this in your kit.
I EDC the Wingman... Wife saw me pull it out use something like 3 of the parts to get something done... and said; "I've never seen you use that thing in anger", it looks really useful. The Wingman is the best bang for the buck! And has a clip for your front pocket.
Maybe I should pick one up because I need to put a quality multi tool in my wife’s car. Is it easy to open the tools?
@@JebBrilliant absolutely it is! If you let it get as grungy as my poor abused pocket tool is it can become a bit stiff. I am very hard on it, because i expect it to be successful with whatever I crazily decide i can do with it, daily. All of that said, with any level of care or even a clean and sharpen once in a while (or living a posh life as a car tool) and it’ll be fine. I really do think it shines in its very easy carry-ability, and still a very usable toolset, even the scissors. I have a practically new Wave+… and while I do like the 3 knives, I never strap it on my belt. The Wingman is too easy. Anyway, good video… and yea the world is over jump cuts in videos. :-)
I really just want an excuse to buy a Leatherman Wingman. I’ve never put my hands on one. BTW, jump cuts are about the only cuts I really know how to do. I’ll try to make it a little smoother.
Bro just speak stop cutting up the video
I’m trying to cut out a lot of “umm” and “ahh”. Plus shorten the video.
If Walmart doesn't get it back, what's the next best $10ish cool knife?
That’s a really good question.
Nope, it's never at my Walmart.
"i want to show you the Leatherman Mut, also heres some molly i was doing"
My editing skills are not where they should be.
@@JebBrilliant you don't need editing skills, man! Your content is good, it doesn't need extra flashing-up. I was making a joke that was in no way meant to capitalize on anything u thought was a deficiency. You just said the word and I just chuckled at the idea of a guy who's so into Multitools that THIS is what he breaks the Es out for. Cheers
@@beezzarro Thanks! I would like to get better at editing videos. I appreciate you reaching back out.

Nono. He will notice it, sometime.
I need this "key" for my PST and mini tool, where i can buy this?
@@Vilwo PST?
that's an awesome tool
It’s the best!
I got one a month ago when all of the UA-cam videos came out praising it. It's a great value for $10. Very solid feeling and feels like a more expensive knife. Walmart is starting to get them back in.
I keep checking local Walmarts and still haven’t seen them in the app. Hope they show up soon.

Lost interest... Seriously, wtf is this? And why should I care?
@@BamnFalto If you know then you shouldn’t care.
Punch in? That’s a new way of saying that. 👍
@@W5KJD I feel like it’s something I would have seen in an 80’s tv show like AirWolf, “Punch in the coordinates”.
You set it for the minus Direction when it was supposed to be a plus?
Oh man, bad editing on my part. Thanks for pointing this out.
@JebBrilliant no worries man, 👍🏻 good on you for trying to help
@@anarchytelevision8445 I really want to find a way to get out East to help folks but it’s expensive to fly out there.
@JebBrilliant I feel the same way when it comes down to North Carolina but I'm down here in Florida dealing with my own crap, it breaks my heart because I used to live in Lake Lure Chimney Rock and Asheville back when I was a kid
@@anarchytelevision8445 Good luck dealing with your storm. What city are you in?
I like mine but theres flaws. I wish they would make a powerpint 2.0 with better steel, revised scissors, diamond file, prybar/flat head, better sharpening of the tools. I would gladly pay more for this
@@emochickluvzblk I 100% agree. I would like to see the super sharp non blade (all?) removed and the bottle opener combined with the can opener.
I super-glued a tiny, round magnet between the closed handles, on one side only, near the ends, to prevent accidental opening of the tool, which I’ve found to be a simple and excellent modification.
@@allemander I think I should try that. Doesn’t it open the device a little bit though?
@@JebBrilliant Maybe a millimeter or two, depending on the dimensions of the magnet you use. Just find the thinnest magnet you can - or I can send you one, I have plenty. You’ll just have to find a way to provide a shipping address.
@@allemander I’m ok, thanks. I only ever have a problem with it when I don’t slide it to the back of the coin pocket on my jeans.
@@allemander Thank you for the offer.
What's the difference between the powerpint mini and the regular powerpint?
@@goodinsrt8 I actually didn’t know, there is no PowerPint, only a PowerPint Mini.
That looks PERFECT for a daily carry around the farm.
@@Coffeeology It’s been a great knife for utility stuff around the house, outdoors and on the job. Most importantly it looks cool to. 😉
@@JebBrilliant As long as it can cut bails, grape vine and anything else... I like the thumb post those are REALLY handy.
@@Coffeeology I use it on Tomato plants regularly. It will probably due fine with hay bales if it’s bound with twine.
Does the bottle opener work? It looks strange.
It works but it’s not great.
I really like my powerlitre it has a lock to keep it closed. When you use the bit holder you can use the lock so you don't have to squeeze as hard.
I'll have to check out the PowerLite. Is it around the same size as the PowerPint?
@@JebBrilliant pretty damn close! Maybe an ounce or so more
Superglue a magnet on one of the sides will "lock" it closed. Gripper between the handles under the plier head.
Enjoy mine as well. Like being able to open another tool to close the currently opened tool versus using the unlock on the handles themselves. I carry an old pepto bismuth travel container filled with with bits and two drill bits for use with it. Bonus is pink pepto container fits on my streamlight as a red light diffuser too.
I love mine also, but I did have to put a magnet for I can keep it closed. Works very well.
@@sonnyzickefoose727 That’s a good idea. I keep mine in the little change pocket on my jeans so it usually stays closed.
@@sonnyzickefoose727 where and how did you attach the magnet?
@@JebBrilliant A really good super glue. At the end of the pliers, needless to say
Nice score by your kids! Nice vid too!
I really do carry it and use it all the time.
thanks for the video and recommendation
