You need to visit Andrew’s elevator museum in a storage facility in Roanoke, VA. You also need to do some filming there too.

Is that a built in bookcase that your stuff is on? It has closed cabinets underneath. That is not an Innovation panel, it’s a TK one because of the brailles; it must have had their original Traditional fixtures replaced with Innovation Prestige at one point.

What is that kind of Sony camera? DieselDucy has used a few of those to do filming. I think it’s a T1 or P20. He still loves the old cameras, including the camcorders (such as the Handycam).

When you filmed these, the top 2 floors weren’t locked off. But that copyrighted music. I had to mute pretty much my whole video of these original elevators because of copyrighted songs. No big deal. Just had to be done. I might return to this hotel to film one of the modded cars, but that copyrighted music I would need to mute before I post that future video.

KONE is doing the mod (with the MAD BS Moon fixtures). It’s very rare for KONEs to have MAD fixtures. Plus it also has the blue indicators. Just like the scenic ones at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, TN, which has Innovation, but the same indicators; DieselDucy has filmed those ones when they were Dovers long ago.

They weren’t rough when I filmed one of these 6 months ago. I luckily went in an original car. What they also did in this hotel was replace the Montgomery G&P escalator set with another set of stairs. Did the parking elevator get modded yet? Diagonally across the street from this hotel is The Square shopping area with 2 escalators and 2 elevators (one scenic and internal). Right across the street from the Hyatt Regency and Rupp Arena (both connected) is an entertainment center with restaurant areas, bowling, arcades and movie theater; they have modded Otis parking elevators, KONE KSS 140 that accesses the movie theater and long lighted KONE Transit Master 210 escalators that access the same area. You should check all of that out.

DieselDucy and Zach went on this thing and it was worse; it didn’t even open at the top floor. Also it has a Jowevator button.

I’m glad that this is fixed. It definitely needed to be taken care of.

This is much worse than the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort. This hotel is the worst in all of Lexington; it should’ve been featured in one of the Hotel Impossible episodes. It needs an extensive renovation. And TKE modding the guest elevators, except for the TK Aurora auxiliary elevator and US Square button call stations.
