Guillaume Diop 2.0 (Paris Opera Ballet - France)
How beautiful it is to witness the growth and development of such talent! A year after his first interview with Core De Ballet, Guillaume Diop made us the honor to share with us everything he has learned throughout his first 18 months as a professional ballet dancer at Paris Opera.
In this more recent interview (recorded Dec 2019) Guillaume goes more in depth and tells us what has changed and remained the same since he joined the company. We also got to discuss what he is now looking forward to for the rest of his career! As usual, we shifted from the most silly jokes to the very serious conversations such as the use of makeup to change dancers’ skin colors on stage.

    This is literally the only tutorial that shows us how to PIN the twist securely! Other tutorials only mentioned pinning the hair but never show us HOW to pin. Such a crucial information left out by others.

    I have been learning how to do French twist for HOURS watching other videos from different flat forms but failed. FINALLY when I tried learning from this video I was shocked to know that my French twist was so beautiful and secure thanks to this video! Thank you so much for making this video and this video REALLY helped me a lot!! 💕💕💕💕

    This really works! I got it on my first go and it’s nice and secure. The demo of the twisting at the base & top is great, as is the pinning technique. Thank you!

    I hope you made $$ off this video. Simple, informative. 1.6m over 3 years. That averages to 1500 views a day. I never knew how to use those pins or get the ends of my hair to stay in/under the twist.

    you are completely right about most tutorials skipping vital information. for example. I was going to give up in despair, but your looping tip saved me. that's the step I was missing! that's the reason my French twist attempts were falling apart! now I do this for all my events and it looks so classy but is so easy. thank youuuu

    actually that's not the correct way, the top looks messy and a clip to the side will do the same look u need to tease and section for a correct traditional french twist

    What's sad, in a funny sort of way, is that western type hairstyles, such as Margaret Vinci Heldt, have been more perfected by asians. Therefore, asians, and asian models in general, are better at doing these type of hairstyle variants, than you people.

    Couldn't you simply take a rubber band, put around the pivot bend at the pony tail, do the twist, and then cut the rubber band when you're done? The whole point is to get the French twist straight. No curving. No bending. That is an absolute must.

  • @stratoleft
    @stratoleft 8 місяців тому

    OK. Now do the hybrid Beehive style on top like Brigitte Bardot AND get it to hold. Then, you have to make sure it blends with the French twist. Sounds easy? Think again. I know a girl named Kari with the hair capable of doing such, and I think I could do it with her hair.

    Я знала этого выдающегося педагога, Сан Саныча Прокофьева! Низкий поклон за его учеников и за его гений. Огромная невосполнимая утрата для балетного мира 😢 Его ребята отличались мужским стилем, великолепными руками и бьющей наповал техникой. Если ты работал с ними, то становился «брендовым материалом», самого лучшего качества артистом, «прокофьевцем»! Говорите о таких людях почаще! О них стоит знать и помнить ❤ I knew this outstanding, remarkable teacher, San Sanych Prokofiev! Low bow for all of his students and for his genius. A huge irreparable loss for the ballet world His guys were distinguished by their masculine style, magnificent hands and amazing technique. If you worked with him, you became a “brand material”, an artist of the best quality, a “prokofievits”. Talk about such people more often! They are worth knowing and remembering

    C'est chouette, vraiment intéressant, et c'est dommage que le format soit si compact. Si l'opéra faisait comme le Royal Ballet avec Sir Frédérick Ashton et les coachings de Sir Anthony Dowell, où on a le temps de voir l'ensemble du solo ou du pas de 2 plusieurs fois, et des dizaines de corrections, plus les souvenirs du maitre. Florence Clerc est admirable dans sa précision, et sa douceur.
