Just goes to show most people don't actually feel music. They only like it, or pretend to, if they think they get cool points for doing so.
Do you mean all the people walking by without noticing? That did surprise me in capturing these videos. When I first heard Malachy, it stopped me in my tracks. On a trip around the world, I returned every day in Glasgow & then saw him again in Belfast. I was mesmerized. He's still the best musician I've heard in a long time. I do know someone who often says regretfully that they just don't particularly like music; they wish they could. I can't fathom that - maybe it's a gene or chromosome. Looking at these crowds pass by, it seems that maybe 10% of people recognize brilliant music & stop to listen.

Well, I think there are many factors to take into account but the truth is most people can't hear music, seriously, most people can't even recognize if one is singing out of tune. I'm a busker, I experience that every time on the street. I felt the very same way when I heard that guy for the first time, I was absolutely blown away, just watching, listening, and couldn't understand how people could just pass and ignore him. In my opinion the most important thing is that every musician fits in a particular environment. This guy might suit more in music clubs. On the street, especially in Belfast, it's quite hard to attract people, they are very cold in my opinion unless they don't hear some radio sh.t.

I reacted the same way - his jokes mocking the crowd were kinda off-putting, not all that funny, or downright mean. But I'm sensitive. I don't think he cares. He clearly likes that take on humor. Or it tells people not to fuck with him.

I just got back from Scarbrough beach Western Australia and had a great afternoon with my family and one of my grand kids we herd this very talented man playing and loved this song the best Bella purchased his cd played it on the way back home in High Wycombe and I'm pretty happy with his work Bella is not on it but it is worth every penny keep up this awesome music and do your self a favour and get this, with men like Malachy good music that is made not produced by a computer or whatever it is , it will never die
