As a lifelong visitor to Nags Head starting back in 1963, this video brought back a flood of very pleasant memories, especially The Casino and The Galleon. There are now five generations of my family who love the Outer Banks; my late parents, me and my sister, our kids, and now our grandkids and great-grandkids. Thanks so much for this.
My mother was born at Caffey’s Inlet, her father, Theron Corbell was stationed there in the early 1930’s. Is there any way I could get a copy of this photo? You can message me @ nagsheadlady100@ gmail.com. Many thanks.
Great Pics and memories of my childhood. My Mom and Dad started taking us there on vacation in the 1960's. Nice to see how it used to look back in that era.
Nice
Here now comparing these pics to today. Awesome 👍👍👍👍
Fantastic collection.
So cool! Thanks for sharing!👏🏻😎
Love this
My first memory of a vacation here was in 1946, right after the war. I have visited here at least once every year since, what a wonderful place.
These were the good old days. No AC just the ocean and swimming and fishing...and talking on the open porches!
... and pretty ladies like Margie running up and down the beach making the turning young men's heads. ;-) D Bks
Early folks arrived here on the sandy shores of the soundside and then made their way over to the ocean!!!

Amazing to see~! I lived there for 7 years before we even had cellphones or the internet in 1976-1983. <}}}}><
