Fascinating! I've never heard the term "slum tours" before. Thought provoking.
It is definitely something to keep in mind. Sometimes raising awareness is helpful, and promotes change, but sometimes it can be harmful or exploitative to the populations who are the subject of the tours. It's not always apparent what the impact is, or will be, so I have very mixed feelings about "poverty tours", or "slum tours".
Clearly, you are the one we want around in an emergency. :)
Bear in mind all that training was 20+ years ago! I'm currently unlicensed, have forgotten all I learned, and am probably a hazard to society. :)

That’s what I thought, but I was assured they are European ground squirrels, that are specific to that region. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_ground_squirrel
