Hey! Can you explain to me when to keep the flow low and when to increase? Also in the context of light, medium, dark roast? I have a lelit and i dont seem to understand how to adjust the flow based on roast or taste characteristics
Hey there, sorry for the late reply, so far the profile that works for me for lighter rose is giving the puck a chance to bloom after initial few seconds, as for darker roast, going with longdinium profile works quite well. Hope this helps :)

the normal 3d printed wdt or the wdt from normcore (not the needle distributor ) is much better than the one you are using . there have been some reviews on the product, they say that it doesn't distribute enough

I dont like the music. Wrinkling force tamper then puck screen on top is not an ideal, and 10,5bar extraction is too high, I even use 7,5bar now set on boiler..

Which dose funnel do you use? What size is it for the Bianca V3? Also, was that 20.2 grams of coffee? Does that work well for you? How much milk do you use?
For now I have been using standard 58 mm dose funnel. I have tried up tp 20,5 grams for older coffee to get better pressure and extraction. But nowdays I do use puck screen resulting in maximum of 19 grams for 20 grams basket. I don't measure my milk, just pour it until the bottom of the spout for steaming :), hope these helps

Sometimes I do re-steam my leftover milk, but need to make sure its cold/ room temperature before mixing with some cold milk. :)

interesting. Why do you take all that milk out and leave it on the counter? And why do you steam your milk on one pitcher and then pour it all into the other one? Obviously you like how the white pitcher pours but why not just steam the milk in the white one?
I was training for latte art, so didn't want to go back and forth to the refrigerator. And as for the pouring from 1 jug to the other, it is to help creating better mix between the foam and the milk that happens when pouring. I just prefer it this way. And I steamed better with the other jug haha.

Depends on your usage, but doing it weekly is good enough imho :)
Damm your latte art skill looks real good! Same with my bianca, when the water is empty, you usually can get one or two cups before it dies :D

Can anyone help me understand why everything I read about espresso says ~9 bar of pressure, yet all espresso machines I've seen work around 15~20 bar, this one was around 10~11... if I'm reading the pressure gauge correctly
Home expresso machines have more than 9 bar to work with pressurized port filters. 9 bar gives you a better expresso taste and enables you to use naked port filters without making a mess. Less pressure enables you to use not pressurized port filters as naked and others :)

It's a silicon mat usually used by bartender :)
First of all you shouldn't leave the portafilter on the machine for a while because you may burn the coffee. Also I think your grind is too fine or you were on low flow mode

I have the same setup (bianca+zero, DF83 arriving tomorrow :), can you do video where we can see you moving the paddle? Whats your ratio for shot which took 40s? Would be nice to see the scale also. I usually do 18g in 36-40g out, trying to be under 30s. Playing with preinfusion 3s on 5s off

How is it made?
Taste wise, it's not bad! Would recommend using a bold taste coffee beans so that the sweetness doesn't cover the whole espresso profile.
