I get the impression from the few comments that there are is that it is about 50/50 between liking the topic and against it. In my opinion it does not matter when or how the two potential adversaries of the free world come into service, the only thing that does matter is how effective they might be, but I believe that in the long term long range bombers will have NO relevance in modern military aviation, with air defence systems becoming more and more sophisticated the bomber will be as vulnerable as a kitten, the emphasis will be placed on intercontinental ballistic missiles and ship/submarine launched missile systems that are hypersonic, and whilst current technology means that stealth aircraft can achieve their goals in relative ease (if ‘ease’ is the right word) but, again, that ability will be degraded more and more once air defence systems, including stealth aircraft, develop to the extent that stealth technology is invalidated by new technologies such as laser weapons, weapons that are on the cusp of becoming reality, no longer would projectile weapons rule the battlefields of the world, and if you think that my opinion is completely wrong then I would remind you that even a short time ago the idea of stealth aircraft was thought of as being impossible, so much of our current technology was science fiction at the end of WWII and impossible to create, so never say never to the idea that current technology is going to become obsolete and replaced by technology that is science fiction now.

By doing that we can counter Greek Rafale purchase while the air force inducts reasonable numbers of 5th Kaan. 4.5 gen fighter is a way to go for us. We need to fill the gap. JF-17 is not same level with F16V. Weaker engines, worse electronics (even with B3). There is no reason to buy JF-17 we don't need it.
