New Mowrator is here!!!
So as promised...I have produced a video of our new Mowrator in Australian conditions! We have a large property to maintain which has gotten away from us. This will hopefully help us maintain our extreme slopes. We've done this by hand so far because:
a) Tractors that are capable or even larger 4WD petrol mowers are expensive!
b) Our slopes are too extreme and would be unsafe on most if not all tractors.
In came the Mowrator. On first use, we were fairly happy - can definitely see the usefulness, but were limited by distance. Since the update, we're much happier! Other tyres would be still be helpful in our conditions. You can see we've driven it on flat, maintained grass, sloping grass with a mix of weeds of different heights, and a large hill that has already been mowed and we intend to maintain with the Mowrator. Our kids are stoked with the new toy too!
I've also tried it as a bit of a slasher, though to help with longevity, I believe we'll continue clearing and slashing first, then using this to mow.

I too have a steep hill in my back yard and what sucks is the ground isn't perfectly flat. It has rutts because the grass was sod that was laid down. I found it is hard going up the slop even with the fastst setting due to the uneveness. But I can get up the hill fine in a less steep portion and then mow down the slope while using the reverse to keep it from slipping too fast. my hill is too steep i cant mow from side to side as it slide down.

Good to see it on some slopes. I’ve notice the AWD is hard to not be aggressive on the grass. 👍

I've noticed that too, particularly when slightly damp. Mowing on the flat is easy for us, so to be honest this is more for the slopes where I don't really care much if a bit of grass is ripped up - just need to handle the grass and control the weeds! I think the reverse speed update will help because in some areas I just won't turn around - I'll go back and forward.
