CreateProto was founded in September 2016 by Robert Yu, an industrial designer with a vision to revolutionize rapid prototyping and low-volume manufacturing. Our factory is located in Dongguan, China, a global hub for the machining industry. This advantageous location facilitates the procurement of certified raw materials and access to skilled machining professionals.

Robert Yu recognized the inefficiencies in traditional production methods and aimed to streamline the process using advanced technologies like CNC machining, additive manufacturing, and rapid tooling. This innovative approach significantly reduced lead times for plastic and metal parts, creating a major shift in the industry.
