Ever since my allotted 15 minutes of fame back in 2015 when I announced my discovery of the only marked set of Dickens's journal 'All the Year Round', which revealed for the first time the names of over 300 contributors to the journal and effectively rewrote chunks of 19th-century literary biibliography, I have been a full-time independent researcher on the life, works, times, collaborators and contemporaries of Charles Dickens. I've published books and articles and given countless conference papers but, in these extraordinary times, I've turned to video talks as a way of getting my research out there, and in a way that is likely to appeal to a broader spectrum of the reading public. I have a schedule of videos planned for release roughly every 2 weeks through to the Summer of 2021, and ones I'm really looking forward to shooting include Dickens and gorillas, Dickens and the colour purple and Dickens and blue sky thinking.
