5:24 later Mario games also rely heavily on the exact same challenges in every level. Collecting stars or shines became a chore. Sonic games never turned into this gimmicky type of stuff. Not until that bad fan game Mania that is.

1:37 really, kid? Sonic started on the Sega Genesis. Mario started in the arcades as Jump Man, fighting off barrels or outrunning them while rescuing just another damsel in distress from the King named Kong. Mario really started to become popular as Super Mario on the NES. But other games just overshadowed it. Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Mega Man and Castlevania took this spot way too fast. Sonic remained real throughout the Genesis era. You know nothing about gaming history.

Mario is the clear winner? Why? Because Sega went out of the console making business and became a third party developer? I played more Sonic games over the last 40 years than Mario games. Sure I played all the NES games, those first two gameboy titles, Super Mario World and only later Mario Galaxy. Sonic? All Genesis titles. All Adventure games.Heroes. Unleashed. Colors. Generations. Sure Sega (Sonic Team) put out some steamers. But so did Nintendo. How many New Super Mario Bros and Super Mario 3D titles am I supposed to play before I have seen everything? Not as much as you could imagine. It feels like Mario Galaxy was the last big real hit in the Mario universe. Sonic Team just relearning their role as a developer team. Sonic Frontiers looks promising but I haven't tried yet. Mario Odyssey on the other hand looks too boring for a Mario game. Let alone those latest 2D scrolling games.

As a gamers who loves to play pokemon and Digimon.. the main reason for me to not play Digimon as much as Pokemon is, they do not have "Transfer" features in their game as greatly as what pokemon did in Pokemon Home.. I mean, If I already having a bond on my Torchic in Pokemon Sapphire, and I want to play with it in newer games if they are in the dex or at least keep him in some sort of "Storage" that I could use it whenever it became Available, pokemon have cabailities to do so.. In Digimon? You usually needs to restart your bond again with your digimon

Honestly I kinda agree. The very first thing that came to mind when I realized it's a 1:1 is "this game is gonna feel weird and small". And I love MGS3.

Okay so before I say anything lemme just say that as a sonic fan I’m not hating on your or anyone’s opinion so y’all need to chill on the whole “Ermmm you’re a Sonic Fan of course you disagree ☝️🤓” because trust me y’all would do the same shit if I said some shit like Sonic adventure < Mario 64. Now with that being said here’s my criticisms. If the classic games like sonic 2 and 3 didn’t change anything compared to Mario then you already lost me. Super Mario 2 is hella mid so I’m skipping that but super Mario bros 3’s changes had the introduction of the koopalings, a new flying system and some new power ups. Yet when you showed the classic sonic games you acted like their changes weren’t anything special. We have ai coop, 1P vs 2P mode, and you know that the whole purpose for super sonic back then was to improve your skills through trial and error. Same with keeping the main thing sonic fans love about sonic games. Momentum!!! I can say so much but right now I’m just finna say that I honestly think sonic should’ve taken the W back in the console wars. Now I can already hear all the “Ermm actually🤓” people saying that it’s because I’m a sonic fan and I’m biased but let’s be honest here everyone here is biased and I’m so tired of people thinking saying otherwise. Game recreated = remake. A remake having differences from the original does not make it a remake.

Honestly, I don't blame him for not releasing half life 3. Today it would need to be a completely different game to what we had before, or it would just feel dated. But then it wouldn't feel like half life anymore either. I think it is better to just leave the franchise alone

I personally wouldn’t cut the Hal & Carol scenes, just try to fix them as best I can, maybe add better music to the movie to make it sound less generic. Also, have you watched the extended cut? It’s not much better, but it shows more flashbacks of Hal and his dad and shows more scenes of Hector and Carol.
