@@kineticenergy1085 6.02" barrel length on my G40. It's tough to find 10mm ammo tests with a Glock 40. I live in a very liberal area of Northern VA. Carrying a G20 for self defense wouldn't look good in court, so I carry a 9mm. My Gen 4 Glock 40 is solely for home defense. With roughly 1.4" of extra barrel length, I'm thinking the muzzle velocity would be between 1,275 to 1,300 fps, but I can't find any tests on UA-cam or the Internet.

I have a chronograph and have tested a lot of manufacturers. Long story short, if you want absolute confidence to get 1,300+ FPS in that model 40, without a kaboom, buy Underwood 180 grain anything. I have a short on my channel that also chronograph 180 grain Speer gold dot Underwood ammo and it was 1281-1295 fps on my G-20 4.6”. Sig Sauer ammo in quite close to full potential 10mm, and this AAC also out performs the other over the counter loads like your S&B, Remington, PMC etc. you WILL get 1,300+ with your model 40 with underwood 😎👍🏽

@@kineticenergy1085 I just watched a video from 6 months ago. The guy tested this ammo through a 3.8" barrel, a 5" barrel, and a 6" barrel. With the 6", the average velocity was 1,322 fps, which yields a muzzle energy of 699 ft-lb! It seems like AAC has been loading their 10mm rounds hotter over the years. 699 ft-lb of muzzle energy with an XTP bullet is good enough for me. I found my new home defense rounds. You can't beat that for the price.

@@baljeetseggzy7746 the rear does not due to being a locking rear differential. I also know the front requires the same Motorcraft 75w85 hypoid gear oil. So, as long as you buy Motorcraft 75w/85 hypoid gear oil, you are “Ford approved”

@baljeetseggzy7746 I’m sure you can, as I have ran full synthetic motor oil form 0w/20 to 5w/30 in my Ford trucks of all engines when the recommendation was 5w/20 and I’ve never had an engine issue but I do change oil within 4K ever time so I’m sure the extra warm rate viscosity won’t blow anything sky high👍🏽

@@kineticenergy1085 i run 5w-30 motorcraft in my 18 5.0 and haven't had issues (3 years using so far). my local ford dealer wants about $40 a quart for the 75w-85 but 75w-90 is half that. i haven't seen anything about adding modifier but i thought i would ask. Valvoline sells some oil with the flex bag style container and it says it has additive for a limited slip diff. very confusing but probably should just run OE fluid

@@baljeetseggzy7746 ya, one thing I do know about the locking diff and LSD is that the LSD does need friction modifier and the locking diff does not .i also have the 2018 5.0 with the rear locker, FX4, and 10r80 trans. I’ve done all rear, front (well, you see how but also see why I didn’t need to change fluid) transfer case, engine oil, and my latest is the DIY drain and fill of trans fluid about 2 weeks ago.

Ya, I’m thinking it’s a gun myth too, and I will be making a follow up short when I fire these rounds at the range . I do clean all my guns a lot, and after every use, so I assume the barrel fouling won’t be an issue for me😎👍🏽

I wasn’t in combat but the whole purpose of the yelling and non stop stress, in the Marines, is to condition Marines to be able to handle high stress situations like it’s second nature

@@kineticenergy1085 Comradeship is the MOST important thing when you're in a combat situation. There is NO WAY one can feel comradship with a yelling, screaming AH...like these drill instructors. They are individuals who you OBVIOUSLY can't like...and can't trust.

I was in combat and yelling doesn’t do shit. Plenty of ways to instill discipline without the yelling and plenty of ways to create stress without is as well. I was a DS and barely yelled and trained some of the best 11bs.
