    I watch this once a year to remind myself why I started Jiu-jitsu. Ralph Gracie style, simple, aggressive, technical.

    Anyone who knows anything about Jiu Jitsu knows about Ralph, and Kurt. The aspect, invisible (like Rickson says), is the ability to concentrate your energy into the smallest area while being free and fluid everywhere else. That first pass, to that knee on belly is pure devastating Jiu Jitsu power… and that’s just the beginning. The more I train, the more I grow to love the efficiencies inherent in “classic” BJJ… just as Carlos and Helio intended.

    I went to his seminar. I am a black belt over 220lbs. Ralph was showing technique, he put me in side control, I never felt that much of pressure. He is at another level. It was my first time meeting him. He looks so intimidating, when you see him. He is not a big guy. When you start talking to him, the nicest person ever!!!!

    Badass overall. But notice at the end, Budo Jake did not even bow and say thank you, it was Prof Ralph that put his hand out first and said “thank you for the training”. True martial artist

    • @anonymousreviewer169
      @anonymousreviewer169 Рік тому

      I'm very certain it's not because he didn't want to bow or was ingrateful. It's very simply because he didn't know when the round ends. When you're rolling with Ralph, he ignores the clock and ends the round when HE decides to (unless the partner says something or becomes injured, etc). Source: I'm his student.

    • @HelwigDorsuo
      @HelwigDorsuo 3 роки тому

      because its about defeating every other martial arts style. not about being entertaining. any other style can be neutralized, controlled, and either strangled or crippled via joint lock. in real life it doesnt look like a movie.

      I want to see Roger and Rickson roll, before Rickson gets too old. This is the perfect time. Roger is almost 40, and Rickson is a super in-shape 60 year old. In terms of being technical...I think that would be a wonderous spectacle

    • @gallowitz100
      @gallowitz100 3 роки тому

      @@CaptHandsome42 Rickson is unable to roll competitively at his age. His body has been through too much and he is too old. Roger is huge, powerful and near Godly on the mat even at 40. I'm afraid the only roll they will have is a friendly and respectful light roll. Rickson has nothing more to prove and neither does Roger. Rickson will only get hurt if they go at it fully.

    Nate is always pulling that bullshit tackle on every fight! He did the same thing on me when I fought him. He won the fight because it was my first pro fight and I was green. I waved his extra pounds on the weigh in with the people in charge because he's fat ass didn't make weight. For a dude on steroids he didn't do damage on me at all. I think I had like scratches from the globs. Lol Good job Jara 👏 you a good dude. I met you once at the Redhawk casino when I fought nate. Stay well brother! 🙏
