"Fixing" the Holosun 507c side logos
A simple tutorial on blacking-out the 507c logo.
A lot of people are turned off but the large white logo on the side of the 507c, with the birchwood casey aluminum black, you can stain this logo completely black. The result is permanent and looks much better imo.
Aluminum black can be found on amazon here:
www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Black-Touch-Up-3-Oz/dp/B08WM24MGH
or at your local walmart for roughly $10-15
The process is simple and straight forward:
1. clean off the surface of the logo with rubbing alcohol then wipe clean.
2. apply the aluminum black to the logo using a Q-tip in a dabbing motion for 60 seconds, then wipe clean.
3. apply some gun oil then wipe clean.

Lancer Mag Symphony aka why I don't trust them
Переглядів 5 тис.3 роки тому
each one was fully loaded, every lancer mag I've encountered will spit out rounds until about the 15rd mark with a solid palm tap
Awesome! My lancers from the same orchestra!
Putting a 507 comp on a Staccato XC. Going to do this on both the optic and the x300 I've got on it because the garish logos are an eyesore. Thanks!
What does the oil at the end do to the process?
Will this work on aimpoint h2 logo?
Should we sand the red dot off first with fine sand paper?
LMAOOOOO
can you get the red off with acetone?
I need this. Accidentally scuffed my Holosun 507c today trying to install it on my new firearm.
How's it holding up after 2 years?
Any way to get this off the 510c!
OH MY LORD thank you for this!
Fens Shiite 😅
Ooff i just pulled mine out any launches a round across the room 😂
amazon link does not work any more, might want to update it. Great Video
What's the purpose of the gun oil in the equation?
Neutralizes the chemical reaction.
Thank you!!
Will this work with the logo on a eotech
This worked great on my 507K. Did two coats of dabbing. Thanks!
Figures 🤦♂️. I bought the 508t just because the 507 had the white paint lettering. Which sucks cause the 508t was more exspensive and a bigger profile on my pistol.
@@-kepha8828that blows. Sell it.
Thank you for this! You deserve a nice long tug on your pecker 😍
Oh my gosh, you're my hero! I'm so OCD that I actually considered not buying a Holosun just because of the obnoxious white lettering on their logo. Thank you so much for the video, can't wait to try your process as soon as my optic arrives.
How come this doesnt work on the Holosun 510C logos?
The 510c hood is made from titanium alloy and the 507c is made of aluminum
@@stas211386 so is there anyway to get it off the 510, it would look 100x better without it
just spray paint it black lol
Get a permanent marker and color in the red. Good to go.
Good info
Great Job!
I'm curious as I've never done this, if you keep applying this over the course of like a week, wouldn't the logo disappear completely? I feel people apply it one time and then stop. I'll have to do an experiment with it and see if treating it one day, then letting it dry completely and then treating it again over and over gets better results.
Did the letttering continue to fade with multiple applications?
Did you do it, how did it come out
Great idea. Thanks.
It works, just tried it on my 507C and 407.
Awesome! I can’t handle the white logo on the 507.
Has anyone tried this on their rifle red dots? Wondering if those are paint or laser etched.
Wow. Interesting that people find the logo offensive. I’ve never thought about it. Curious.
I get it - different strokes. I’m with you though; I never looked down on anyone for doing that kind of thing, just asked why out of curiosity. Some people just like the blacked out stealth look from what I understand.
@@carlostriana7557 yeah that’s more where I am, I don’t have a problem with the logo but it would be the only bright metal part on my gun. It’s not out of any hate for the logo it just looks better black
Thanks for the tip. I will use this one.
How dare holosun not understand Feng shui!
Awsome! would this work on a HS403C made of 6061 T6 Aluminum? The 507c is made of 7075 T6 Aluminum... would that make a difference? color and outcome?
How would this be a problem when seated against a closed bolt
It wouldn't be. Now, when you do this on an open bolt for some reason, you're gonna get a nice quintuple feed lol
The problem is my pmags and colt mags don't do this. (I'm still getting some. Clear green? SOLD!)
Sitting in your chest rig, no Bueno
HAHA! that might be one of the funniest gun videos, in psycho kind of way :D
Is Aluma Black the same thing as Cold Blue? I tried some of that (all I had) and it didn’t work…..
No... Common man. Aluminum and steel are entirely different.
Ali a Black is for aluminum. Cold Blue is for steel.
LMT are worse you squeeze them or put pressure on them from front to back it unloads nearly the entire mag.
Thanks this is exactly what I needed
You can use paint remover for 1 minute to “fix” the red dot and then follow your video for a full “fix” lol
This Deserves more than 47 likes. Thanks I just did 2 507’s, an Olight, and fixed some scuffs on an eotech and an AR upper.
Well I have a new project for this weekend. Thank you!
Awesome tip. The Aluminum Black Touch-Up pen gives the same results without need for Q-tips & gloves. Not saying your method is any worse, just that I only had this touch-up pen and got same results, but had to do multiple applications.
Clean!!
Awesome tip! Do you know if this would work on a 507k per chance?
Just tried it with the Aluminum Black Touch-Up pen on my 507K and worked out the same. May need multiple applications to get desired darkness.
Looks amazing, good job
That looks awesome. Can’t wait to try this.
I hit the base of every single 30-round Lancer magazine I own, about twice as hard as you're hitting yours, (launching one across the room in the process) and nearly all of them have ejected precisely one (1) round if loaded to thirty. I cannot get any .458 SOCOM to budge, not 350gr, 405gr, or even 600gr all fully loaded. I have CMMG-marked ones for that particular round and it doesn't matter because they won't do it in any. I did it with a Gen 2 pmag I've never actually fired and loaded to 28 a week and a half ago and it vomited out about five of them (.223) with one whack. I don't know, maybe mine are newer than yours or something. Some I bought somewhat recently, but they perform the same as the "broken in" ones. EDIT: In hindsight I realized this might be a shitpost and I just spent about fifteen minutes smashing the hell out of my hand like a retard for no reason.
The issue is that their manufacturing quality has dropped.
@@kana-kun5471 Some of mine were new, though. I haven't bought any since, but if you look on the date of my post and add a month that's when I bought a few of them. They're still working fine about a year later, new and old, but I did manage to crack one out at the gravel pit.
same thing here. Just tried it after seeing this, and 1 or 2 good taps will always knock out the 30th round, but never any after.
Hilarious
