It’s less about everyone getting a trophy and more about changing your mindset. No one ever wins when they think they are the biggest loser. This gives the person, or the little girl, the motivation to keep running, to keep training, and to improve so that she can win first place. Change your mindset and you can see how amazing things can happen.
He’s not saying they do deserve a trophy. This is more of a personal goals mindset than a sport mindset. If you lose in a sport you’ve lost, but in life if you do better than you did last time, even when you suck compared to anyone else, it’s still a win in the right direction. Also, just thinking positively about progress rather than negatively about comparison, will lead to a lot less stress.

Actually It’s never too late to use the song. It’s a continuous thing. The longer it circulates, the longer the kid will get paid off the song engagement 💡hopefully others realize that and don’t take on the “it’s too late” mindset.
