Hey man I asked this to someone recently, wanted to know your input: emm!! am unable to get to the conclusion on how DOM is helping me! --- I know this might be early --- I've been a forex trader and pull off some crazy shit there! I wanted to see if I can further build more edge around being able to execute on DOM! - So I noticed the 15sec chart and DOM... a 15 sec candle chart gives me enough about aggressive buyers/sellers entering.. it's like a market structure break then entry OR lets say sweep of a last 15/30min candle if I wanna sell... --- DOM I keep seeing limit orders being pulled off... aggressive sellers entering then suddenly buyers too! it happens 50x times around the same price... in a candle stick chart I'd put my SL on the top (a little wide) but if I wanna use the edge of the DOM am expecting to have tight stops MAYBE -- and DOM totally fails if there is no context of your pattern/bias/levels/volume profile... If I'd be having wide stops! it's like trading just off of volume profile and I feel like I ain't using the DOM properly, like even the fking VPOC keeps getting breached/respected then price comes back to it instantly and breached respected etc... ---- that would tell me I'd need to put a wide stop--- ok, I do that.. but I can't seem to get hang of the back and forth between aggressive buyers and sellers entering and exiting... I am able to get way better entry and exit if I use just the 1min chart. so context is everything and DOM is just... what? I really do wanna use the DOM and I won't give up on it... it took me 7 years to get hang of the forex and crush it. and I wanna learn DOM for the fun to see if there's some cool badass shit I can pull of and be proud about LMAO! P.S. sorry for bothering you, and repeating the same shit but different times! am new to this! - watched 15-20 of your videos, recording my sessions and just comapring my chart entry to DOM scalping... and it's looking bad.

There is an iota of truth in this video, but to condemn ICT , is crazy. I traded it in demo and trippled my account. It is the best trading strategy I have seen so far. I would love to use Bookmap but it cost money. For now ICt is what am using.l!!!

Your backtesting is wrong. You didn't even study ICT. Your IQ level isn't good after all. You trade FVGs with : 1. Higher time frame trend, 2. Ict time open sessions, 3. Maybe daily bias as well, 4. Premium and discount of price swings, 5. Another premium and discount of the pattern itself (2022 mentorship), 6. Break in market structure and 7. Candle's body closing significantly betond the break of structure (2022 mentorship). No wonder why the FVG you showed us gave bad results.

I am wondering why so much so called UA-camrs on ICT name and concept??? No one strategy works well for majority of who's trading. ICT concept not responsible for more than 95% traders failing . Whatever one calls a gap shouldn't matter but the reason behind a gap, imbalance or whatever

What's funny is my main strategy is fading into them and looking for them to get filled. Thank you for providing a back test to that idea. Obviously still using context, levels, and order flow, but I have definitely seen them get more filled than respected. I just use them as targets same as low volume nodes.

ICT is a crafty marketeer who's successfully built a huge subscriber base. I couldn't recommend his UA-cam content to friends or family because I'd be embarrassed to have them listen to Michael's skillfully drawn out content in which he tries to maximise his revenue. It's a shame because some of the ideas around 'premium & discount' could actually help newbies towards gaining an edge.

Omg you used a FVG indicator? And what timeframe is your sample set based on? And you use volume? Wow. And is this IFVG in a premium or a discount in the range? And what is PA reversing off of? A 1 min array? A 1 day array? Not a fair study IMHO. Give it 6 months to 1 year of studying 50 hours a week and back testing then let's talk.

I trade ICT. The thing is if you pattern trade his concepts then of course you are going to fail. It's narrative / DOL , then finding your set up based off the efficiency of delivery through (what I use) fvg's, orderblocks , and IFVG's. To each their own brother but ICT at least for me works. Helped me pass my first funded account and I'm working towards the future. Watch ICT's 2024 mentorship. If that even interests you but there's good stuff.

Firstly, you should educate yourself more on the concepts of ICT. Not some Half ass research you've done. Don't get me wrong a Fair Value Alone isn't going to make you Profitable alone. For the Fair Value to work you need to look at the Order flow and Market Structure. This video is misleading to new traders as they will actually think the concepts don't work but they do in reality they do work and that doesn't mean using all the concepts all at once choosing two or three and backtesting. whether they choose ICT concepts or your Strategy the new traders will still be part of the statistics. You could have said that ICT concepts are the Hardest to trade instead of that they don't work because with ICT concepts everyone just wants to look at a few videos and jump straight into the live market just because they saw someone winning the trade. But no one wants to Backtest and find rules for the strategy to make it work. Every strategy is no better than a coin flip. Trading is based on probabilities. I could have gone on but I didn't want to make this comment longer than it already is. 100% True ICT concepts are no better than a coin flip if you just take them blindly without narrative. I didn't hear you say that at first but I agree with you
