Bonifacio Shrine also known as kartilya ng katipunan is a public park and plaza in Ermita, Manila.
Manila City is a home of numerous historical sites and monuments. These sites and shrines give us a peak of our history. It somehow narrates to us a significant event that happened in our past. One of the most important events in the Philippine History is the Philippine Revolution wherein Filipinos united with a goal to resist colonialism.
One symbol of the Philippine Revolution was the Bonifacio and the Katipunan Revolution Monument, this is dedicated in remembrance of the Filipino revolutionary, Andres Bonifacio and the Katipunan’s role in the Philippine Revolution. This artwork is located near the Manila City Hall and was made by Filipino Sculptor Eduardo Castrillo.
