I worked on dozens of these, in their big brothers, the 555 ( triple nickel), and much larger 903. Not big on power, but what they lacked in that department, they made up for in noise ! Not sure if there’s a lot of parts kicking around for these engines. Being they have totally mechanical fuel systems, you can’t dial up the horsepower with the laptop, and believe me, those pistons sound like they want outta there. Funny how they where so popular back in the 70’s, and like the mini skirt, not so much of them around. How do you say “ Head gasket “. Over and over.

What is the box between the oil filter and alternator. I have one on a welder and it’s missing that box. Runs off fuel directly in the intake but spits it out where that box is supposed to be. I’m Not familiar with these engines
