The emptiness machine could be an entire worldview that pulls people in, bleeds them out, etc. This could work for any "group" that someone wants to be a part of. The "worms" are tentacles symbolizing the Lovecraftian Outer Evil Gods/evil deities. 0:59 he's talking to his loved one, and it means that she's sick because of the "secrets within" aka the inner devil possessing yourself and making you do amoral things. 1:26 means that this devil is not so "evil" but more "hungry" for sin. The bodies/bones are the remnants of our sins and the people we hurt or betrayed. The cage he built is an immaterial prison where he's trapped with his dark alter ego/loved one. He lost the keys, which is also a reference to the Heavens and Hell keys. 2:04 is obvious, the need to take substances in order to manage to survive in an empty life. 2:30 means that there is a way to escape from your skin=inner evil envelop.
