On a spring day at 33K after startup my Honda Accord's dashboard lit up like a Xmas tree. This included no clicking sound for signals, hazard lights, several other malfunction lights also appeared on dashboard such as errors with lane mitigation, collision avoidance, and lane keep assist errors. Door locks, windows, and trunk release buttons did not operate. After the weekend at the dealer the ...
2018 Accord Cold Engine Rattle at 30K
Переглядів 2384 роки тому
I've recently started hearing a rattling /wheezing noise coming from my 2018 Honda Accord between 2000-4000 rpm on cold days. After a day at the Honda dealer for diagnosis they removed a rock from the engine compartment and stated that was the cause. Next day the sound was audible again. My hunch is that it's related to the turbo or other components not being up to operating temperature. Has an...
What about with the fuel pump recall now? They claim they cover that no matter what but what if these asses tell me ok fuel pump taken care of but injectors etc is on you. Man ill shit...Which ive already flipped on them once for legit scam type shit with their "credit card". Owner of the dealership called me pleading to let them fix the issue. I said man...The issue is your bs welcome wagon "techs" feeding a line of bullshit and going behind peoples backs on top of lying but is what it is never coming to your dealership again. Should have milked it but pissed afff
Better take it to the dealer to get fixed
Same like mine
All Honda with 1.5L Turbo Engines they all have fuel injectors problems under 100K miles , Honda sucks now
All you people who purchased newer honda’s and toyota’s got SCAMMED BIG TIME… those cars are not like they use to be… honda is one of the worst cars on the market… buy them more… more money for me since i’m mechanic 😂😂😂
Damn! One year later and my 2019 Accord has the same problem. Unfortunately I’m over 100k so the extended warranty wouldn’t have helped. My 2007 Accord went 270k with the only issue being the catalytic.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord Touring, had this car for 6 years now with 41,000 miles. No issues with this car until about 2 weeks ago. Had the "christmas tree lights" come on. Dealership saying fuel injectors at a mere cost of $1372. I walked out, didn't pay them a cent. SMH after reading all these people with the same problems with their car. Of course the parts are on back order.
Got a recall on fuel injector should’ve have to pay nothing
My 2018 CRV injectors replaced at 61000......should have bought a Toyota.
Mine is almost 29k miles. Exact same car as yours but 2020. Haven't changed cvt oil yet. They're asking $175 just to change cvt oil. Hope my car doesn't suffer the same fate.
This model Honda is garbage i purchased this car it's been nothing but problems for me
Mine wasn’t fuel injectors mine was the engine wire harness!! But putting injectors in Honda accord are easy !!
It has direct port injectors spray on top of the piston other honda spary in the intake manifold thats why old hondas don't have that problem. I had the same problem at 55k and i got the oem injectors from ebay along with gaskets. I replaced mine myself and all the lights went away soon as i start the car up. Good luck.
My at 42000 miles 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
This is actually stupid it happened to my car too at this point should I just trade it in
I bet it doesn’t want to remote start ether
Same problem in 19 accord 1.5T 154k kilometres
Mention your lawyers name and firm. The case manager will suddenly return your calls
I have 08 accord 238000 miles never had these crazy issues
2018 accord with 35k miles. xmas tree warning lights were on, brought it into dealer and needs fuel injectors and head gasket.
were you running regular unleaded? Never with turbo charged engines.
I got same problem bad quality
I have the same problem with my car it's in the shop right now they told me that it was mis firing and the spark plugs needed to be replaced I had them to do that it cost me $550.00 I went to pick up the car the idiot lights were still coming on I never even drove the car I walked back to the shop and told them the repair man said that he had drove the car and tested it but it's still not working. He tested it again and it is still mis firing he said the head gasket is leaking and it needs to be replaced, I do have Honda care extended warranty on the car, but the thing that is crazy the car only have 32k miles on it, I have not driven it a lot because I have another car and a motorcycle , they said that it will take about a week to fix it.
Dont buy honda i have same issue now
I've had Hondas for 40 years never bought an extended warranty or needed one.
You need them now todd they suck now
I had to replace all 4 so after that I sold it
I’m really disappointed in Honda, I bought my 2019 crv new and now at 72000 miles and experiencing this same issue. Quoted $1600.
We have a 2018 Accord Sport and just happened at 42K miles. Whack!
Unbelievable thats too early! Who is making these fuel injectors? Honda or a 3rd party??? Anybody know?
@@johnnymade8426 They are made by Keihin I believe, but it's still Honda's responsibility.
were you burning regular gas? You're not supposed to with Turbo Charged engines.
I have a 2018 Honda accord with the same issues. Was going to go replace fuel injector system which at my should part and labor cost 1200 but the part is on national back order. That must mean they have a serious problem going on and it’s rediculouus this isn’t being recalled and replaced I have 102,400 miles so thankfully mines didn’t happen sooner but it’s still bullshit in my opinion and because I have to wait till the part comes in my engine can become damaged if it isn’t already. Honda is horrible I will never ever buy one again.
I have a 2018 as well, same problem. This is crazy, Honda knows there's a problem with that year Accord. Ive had several Honda over the years and never this problem.
@@feliciadarby8436come to Toyota next time. We would love to have you guys
I have a Ford 2004 the only problem I had 2 times change alternator 2 times battery it has 235000 millas
Same problem with mine right now ! This is crazy ! I’m about to trade this joker in ! Took it to the dealership it’s been sitting there for 1 month now ! With the fuel injectors on back order ????!!! SMH ! Omg ! Everything you are saying in the video is true!
I'm dealing with the same issue I'm very disappointed with my honda accord 2018 they should put this on recall.
The head gasket gets blown right after the injectors go .
I heard the fuel injectors are on a big back order and Honda is designing them . Not sure if that will actually improve . Sucks that Honda and the dealership didn't take care of you . I can forgive them about the bad design but not being charge for the mistake .
Yes ! They are on back order ! Right now …
I'm going threw this now with the 2019 Accord at a lil over 100k
Same here. I know this is a year after but what did you end up doing?
My 2018 accord is at the dealer right now for that same problem. I did not get the extended warranty. Hey its a Honda right... It was my thinking. I had a 2003 Accord and when I sold it at 205000 only thing that did not work was the CD player. This really needs to be part of the recall. I would certainly help Hondas rep in my opinion. So disappointed.
That's exactly what I've been saying. Now the 10th & 11th gen Accords have the same base engine. If we're changing fuel injectors at 50K on the regular at $1500-$2K, aside for other repairs that will be due as expected then Hondas are no longer on my list of quality cars.
Was honda able to fix it by replacing all 4 fuel injectors? Let me know please?
@@MANNSOUL1000 - Yes. and they replaced the seal that was leaking. Cost was around $1600.
59,184 it went out for me lol
Too too early. Did you have the extended warranty or pay out of pocket?
I believe my fuel injectors just went out too lol.
Bro I’m facing same problems 😭
Did you notice anything before this started happening? I have a 2020 1.5 and my exhausts are making fluttering/crackling noises. Car only has 6k on it
Wow that's really low mileage. The only thing I noticed were that the steering wheel and passenger seat visible vibrate. Kinda like the old cars when they had engine problems.
2018 1.5 almost 100k miles no issues at all. When are you guys changing the oil?
I’ve been watching a lot videos about accord 1.5 I hope I don’t run into this issue. Mine has 40k so far nothing has happen. Other than the coolant level went down last year after changing it. I’ll have to keep an eye on it. What maintenance have you done to your baby
@@blackhawks1870 ended up selling mine for the 24 Sport L, still didnt have any issues at 135K before I sold it
I’m hoping my accord 1.5 sport almost at 40k miles doesn’t fail on me because I’m waiting to go to work but it 5 miles away and car fail on me I don’t want to be late for work constantly but if it really fail on me I’ll get an tesla instead and not dealing with bs anymore.
Honestly I think Honda squeezed the 1.5T too hard. Accord and CRV has 19psi vs Civic 16psi. I see accord and CRV got more issue on UA-cam. Injector, head gasket, oil dilution 😅 there is a Honda tech guy stated to use 91 gas on these engines to avoid problems…
Yes!! Thanks for the great comment. Too much boost for the quality of the parts. Premium gas was always recommended back in the day for turbo engines but why did the Honda Corp print that it was ok to use regular with this engine... was it deceptive? Also I can't put all the blame on Honda but this squeezing this much fuel economy smells like regulations. Lastly from the comments that I've read it seems that those in CA are getting the injectors replaced for free up to 150K as they are part of clean air emissions so either CA Accords are more expensive or the rest of us are subsidizing CA owners repairs.. but not 100% sure on this one.
Civic is a smaller car. Accord is 450+ pounds heavier than a civic . Accord has more room for bigger passengers and luggage. So 1.5T has to work harder. Another youtuber recommended driving gently on eco mode, premium fuel and warming up.
I have the same problem at 48000 on mine.🤬🤬🤬
Did you get the extended warranty or are you paying the full repair bill?
Have noticed rough idle on cold starts for past few months. Was planning to swap the spark plugs when I hit 50k, currently at 48k, but now I’m thinking it could be an injector issue. Haven’t had a check engine light but will keep an eye out.
Interesting similar to what I experienced but too early to tell without a code. Leave a comment after you change them and if it solves your issue.
This is happening to my 2018 Honda Accord Sport right now. And it's under 25, 000 miles.
Sorry to hear that. That's not right at all. Too... too soon! What happened to Honda quality!?
Same here under 57,000miles
Just got my 2000 dollar bill carfax will pay all but 300 51k on my dash 2018 accord sport
Congrats on getting it worked out. Hopefully the next ones last the life of the car.
I feel your pain my man…. Going through this issue now as well. Honda should change to Kia/Hyundai!
Welcome to the UNOFFICIAL Honda Failed Fuel Injectors Club 😁 How many miles do you have?
Isn't there an extending warranty for the fuel injectors now ?
@@johntokar9387The warranty is 3 years / 36K miles on fuel injectors. That's what my HONDA dealer told me & HONDA Corporate also.
@@johnnymade8426I’m glad I got a Toyota instead of Honda back in 2020.
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Omfg, your video and comments there after saved my pockets, I have been dealing with these warnings on and off since last summer, I waited until the dash board lit up again and I went to an auto zone to get a scan got the same error code. I know how these dealers could be messed up so I called Honda care and asked them about my warrantee, they told me I was covered, called the dealership and made the appointment. As soon as I got there they told me I had to change all the injectors and all sorts of other shit I smiled and said 4 words “it’s covered by warantee”. Their smile disappeared, lol, I also got a loaner for the time they were working on my vehicle. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU
Don’t forget to use 91 gas … Honda said 87 gas is fine but accord and CRV 1.5 T has higher boost @19psi, which might cause early head gasket injector failure. It must have a little knock for a sec which cause issues overtime😅
Just found my warranty. Abt to call them Monday
Just happened to me in my 2018 Accord 48k.
Welcome to the UNOFFICIAL HONDA Failed Fuel Injector Club. Sorry to hear that...
At least your head gasket is good👍🏾
the injectors were not the problem, The In-tank fuel filter decomposed and clogged everything.
How do you know? I’ve been having an insane amount of misfires and no check engine light. It comes and goes. For a couple weeks it will run fine and then it just suddenly starts to misfire nonstop. I have a ktuner so I know it’s misfiring from hearing it feeling and seeing my knock count shoot up to 100 knocks in 20 minutes.
@@remopuccio512 at this point we'd recommend changing the in tank Fuel filter and the Injectors. AT worst case the head gasket could be going out, especially if you have to keep filling it up with coolant.
@@jsrengines coolant is topped off still hasn’t moved at all so it’s def not head gasket. I have a 2.0 not a 1.5
@@remopuccio512 if it breaks up and misfires under high outside temps it needs a new fuel filter inside the gas tank
@@jsrengines idk I just un installed all of my modifications. So I am completely stock again. I’m going to bring it to a Honda dealer soon.
Going through the same thing with my 2019 Accord at 26k miles.. honda is replacing and installing a new engine but don’t think I can keep it and trust it after warranty. I’m going to sell it and upgrade to a 2.0 turbo. Honda needs to do better
Youre getting a new engine at 26K!! What is going on with Honda!? Sounds like you got a lemon that is super early to need a new engine.
I had the same problem at 52k
Mine blew a head gasket at 114,000 and now fuel injectors at 120,000. It's in pristine condition, what tha? My 2012 had 285,000 only coil pack replacement in 8 and a half years, I traded for this one, omg, what a mistake. Thank God for my extended warranty
Honda quality has gone down the drain. I personally would never buy one again. If you do then get the warranty but eventually that's going to run out too. Good luck.
@@johnnymade8426come to Toyota next time, you won’t regret
How did you get a 100k Hondacare warranty. I bought the premium one which was 80k miles.
