A proof of concept to see if though axle brushless motors would work with no gear boxes. 2 motors running at 12v pushed 10 wagons at slow speeds. Controled using an Arduino uno and a 3way h-bridge
What is red van behind the passenger train? A 12 ton standard? Thanks
Nice!
Charming line, well crafted.
What a brilliant setup beautifully made ,brilliant video mate thanks for sharing,I’d spend all day out there.👍

Wow that is a stunning railway:-) it must of taken ages! I love the signals, kit or scratch built?
eddie williams it's not mine sadly I think it has taken a few decades to get that far! I believe signals are from grs but modified a bit
I envy anyone with the time, space, skill and the resources to build in gauge 3. A small O gauge layout takes up enough space as it is
Is this St. Ives, Hunts?
James Owen it was filmed at Swindon not sure where the layout now is
@@gavinbashford9878 The guy was clearly asking whether this was a model of St Ives, Hants. It certainly isn't a model of St Ives, Cornwall.
@@daveday5507 that's what the station in St Ives, Cornwall, looked like back in 1877 - around 1892
@@Tauerr I lived in St Ives in 1943 and used the station quite frequently with my mother. BR trains didn't run in 1943 and they certainly didn't in 1877. Where you have the engine shed was occupied by a camping coach and the engine shed was approached from the opposite direction. If the water came up to what is now a putting green they would been in real trouble. If you want to call the layout St Ives, that's fine, but don't pretend it's St Ives, Cornwall. Having said that, it's quite an undertaking for gauge 3.
@@daveday5507 im not talking about the specific trains, just the layout, based off of this video ua-cam.com/video/L5Kjc5SI8Qc/v-deo.html
k,
Excellent shot from the Brake van ,makes me almost want to go into G3 !
The names of the layouts are Tiptree and Mangaps
Great video. Some of those plants are a bit close to the track :)
Nice little section that, the fallen tree on the left comes mighty close but always miss it.
