KTH Academic Orchestra or KTH:s Akademiska Kapell (KTHAK) is a grand orchestra with close to 80 musicians. Most of them are students or teachers at KTH and are supported by professional principal players. The orchestra is led by Director Musices, Mats Janhagen.

I'm not familiar with the rest of Johann Sr.'s works, but I LOVE this -- especially this rendition. It does have lyrics, which I've heard, and they're a bit ridiculous. But without the words, this piece is GREAT!

Oh, I agree! The music of both Johann Sr. and Johann Jr. gets inside of your body and moves it for you. You don't have to think about it. I once threw my lower back out by dipping and twirling a little too deeply at the slightly wrong angle in spontaneous response to the Blue Danube Waltz. Got overly enthusiastic! Two trips to the chiropractor took care of it. And I STILL love Strauss's music. Just wish I could hear more of the father's works. Aside from this march, they aren't as famous as his son's Blue Danube.

För mig är Julias och ensambelns framförande högst njutbart. Jämfört med Anna Netrebkos, Aida Garifullinas, Olga Peretryatkos känner jag ingen skillnad. STORT TACK!
The best rendition of an instrumental "blomstertid" I could find that evokes thoughts of spring, flowers, shrubs, trees. Many other versions sound like funeral processions. Good job, deserves more views and comments!
