City Girl, Cottage Life | 2 years in 🇳🇴
City Girl, Cottage Life | 2 years in Norway
Hello! I have been looking back at another year of life in the Norwegian countryside - after moving here from the Netherlands 2 years ago - and in this video I share a little bit about my experience so far. I share my thoughts and answers on some questions I regularly get like ‘What’s most challenging’ and ‘Will you stay indefinitely’ and show what cottage life + my surroundings look like in this season of life. I really enjoyed filming it so I hope you find it entertaining! And please drop any questions you might have below and I’ll try to answer them as best as I can.

      So they say, but when it comes to the things you actually need (f.e. healthcare, education) it's so much more affordable than many other countries. And living here vs visiting Norway makes a lot of difference because wages are higher as well.

    I like your reflections and I love how logical you are in your planning and trying to find solutions to all the issues you could find. A lot of people get stuck in that and focus on the problems only , and let the fear take over and paralyze them in doing something new. I wish you the best luck in Norway💕

    • @Irisalta
      @Irisalta Рік тому

      Thank you so much for sharing your perspective with me and wishing me the best! I have the same observation of people getting stuck because of fear and a narrow focus on the problem. That is why with each video I make I try to be as logical as I can in providing the guidance that could help them with braking their problems into smaller chunks. Because most of the time this approach helps a lot in coming up with solutions right?!

    im from scandinavia.. and it have nothing to do with you live in the country side we dont invite people into our homes.. even our family, we dont want to have to much to do with.... people dont eat with friends like you do in the nederlands... (i have lived on the country side in nederland) even our own family we rather take to a resturant then to bring into our homes if you want nature and friends southern europe is much better. you can invite all the people you want, it is just a reminder of how lonely it actually is.. if you are longing for frinds and people it is ot the right place, you would have to change the whole scandinavian culture and the stuff they say about when you get a friend you get one for a life time, was many years ago.. we dont help eachother like our parents generation did have you seen a group of friends or family helping build something in norway ? because that is rare these days.. unless it can be done on a short videocall im only back in scandinavia because of my parents.. im leaving soon again.. in nederland you can talk talk straight out of the bag. if you try that in scandinavia you will loose frinds no matter how long you had them.. we have so many subjects we are afraid to talk about and fix, because we cant bring anything bad up in a serius conversation. take cannabis as a example, we still scare kids and tell them lies,. we have no interest in solving the crime or health problems related to drugs.. someone might loose their job if we change anything in our culture, and that is a no go, no matter how useless the job is. but that is just the top of the mountain norway along with dk promotee them self as some of the countrys that produce the smallest amount of co2 while we import stuff that produces co2 in other country´s, and say they polute.. we export oil like hell, while we promote our green energy.. our way of life is doing harm to many people, and you wont find much interest to stop it anywhere. i made a co2 friendly house in scandinavia, and you wont believe how much you have to fight and give up to do that... i could have gotten so many things paid if i had chosen to build in a normal way, and my goverment will pay me if i choose heatsources the produces co2.. they promote them and pay people to come and try to sell it to me. only thing good is we know our land will go up in value, thanks to nature and its course..(if you did not buy at sea level) in 50 years a piece of land in scandinavia will be worth alot more then it is today
