My favourite Nova Scotia cryptid has always been the banshee of dagger woods. I remember going past dagger woods one day and asking my dad why it had such an ominous name, I was told there was this ghost type creature in there that would scream at people. The creature was said to stalk people, if you hear it’s scream getting closer and you don’t leave you’d be killed. I remember it could only be seen in reflections or to the hunters of the woods, their daggers, which is aparently where the name comes from.
