I would never visit India for that very reason. A nation of over a billion people that does not practice proper hygiene. I once took a business class flight to Belgium...and found out it was an Indian airline after I booked my ticket. The entire process was a nightmare. The smells. The business class lounge was gross. Toilet unflushed. Employees picking at the food meant for customers with their fingers. It was a damn nightmare. Disgusting

It comes down to your priorities. If you want to be in the cutting edge tech/ startup scene/venture capital the US is the place. Indian has advanced considerably but has a long way to go. If your priorities are to live a comfortable life then India is the place.

I agree life in India is "better" if you are in IT/software. The reason for that is because IT salaries are higher than middle class salary. You can look up income data to verify. The IT salaries puts you in the upper class of course things like taking Ubers everyday and having drivers and maids are easier because you make so much more money (relatively speaking).

Change your shirts and underwear every single day without exception. Pants can go 2-4 days depending if it's summer or winter. This applies to any human in a civilized society, you are welcome and the people around you will be grateful.
