Not even close. WWE is the best it's been in years, but AEW is weaker than Kurt Angle period or Broken Matt Hardy TNA. AEW refuse to tell a decent story. Awesome over the top matches with zero storyline.

Anyone " forgiving" Hogan over the last say 10 yrs or so most likely shares much in common with Hogan. It's pretty sad because Hogan reallly could of had the most incredible legacy. But the lies , and his racism, and love for Trump will alienate him forever.

I am enjoying this era of wrestling, probably second best compared to Monday Night Wars era, but better than anything since. AEW, WWE, TNA and the various "territories" (MLW, NWA, CZW, etc), I mea, Billy Corgan is a promoter!!! Triple H is in charge now besides the corporate stuff. A billionaire's wrestling fan son (TK) is a promoter on par with WCW - it's a pretty crazy era!

1998-99 for the best action and moments, 2002-2004 for the best ppvs and late 2000s - early 2010s for the best roster

Yer wil'in tellin brett hart to basically get over it its been 20 yrs.. thats crazy. Honestly brett hart is more than justified in never getting over it if he feels like it, he was in his prime he embodies what alot of fans to this day consider wrestling to be its peak of the game and he had all of that snubbed out by a green hot head who now lives the life brett would have had still getting to be involved in the ring having legendary matches with some of his greatest compatriots up to now. Hes allowed to be bitter. Goldberg has made a point of saying hey i was inexperienced i was making the best choices for me at the time despite being so green, which honestly fair, thats accountability to a degree, yer sorry you try to make amends and you cant be sorrier than you truly are and it wont change anything. Its up to every individual to find growth for themselves passed all kinds of experiences let alone not having to be bitter about seeing the guy who cut off the career of the guy that people straight up call the there ever was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be get to cap off his career having matches and legendary moments like goldberg has gotten to have despite still being an unsafe hack who still hurts people in the ring to this day

The mere fact that tribalism exists at the moment is a testament that the wrestling scene is vibrant. Of course, too much tribalism is unhealthy, but it means that there is now, legitimately, more than one option for wrestling fans. This is not just about the fans, the wrestlers themselves now have legitimate options as well instead of having to go on a run in the indies or New Japan hoping WWE will once again give them a call. We are seeing talents like Will Ospreay say no to WWE and yes to AEW, this was unheard of back in the day. TNA could never think of acquiring a talent that WWE already had their eyes set on. All that has changed now, and I'm glad that it did.

Is it the best era? No. But it is the best since the Attitude Era IMO

I forgot to mention that #2 was probably the 80s. New Japans golden age, and the american scene was super healthy and also good and probably very exciting to live through.

I would say the current era is on par with the ruthless aggression era. NOAH was super popular and good back then, TNA was getting good, and I like Ruthless Aggression WWE. I think the late 90s was better than both now and early-mid 2000s. Not only was WWE and WCW going through a golden age, but Japanese wrestling was also going through a golden age. I don't keep up with Mexican wrestling, but I'm pretty sure that was an upward period for them too. And I didn't grow up with 90s wrestling and barely even the ruthless aggression era, so it's not nostalgia. Japanese wrestling is currently in one of if not the largest slump ever. The indies are less popular and worse now compared to before AEW. The current era is basically carried by WWE being great. But I thought All In was great, so maybe they can get good and get the popularity and quality back from 2021. As for Japanese wrestling... they're in a ROUGH predicament. I think the only thing that can save Japanese wrestling is some Japanese money mark. Quality japanese athletes are no longer drawn to the business like they used to. So they're in a death spiral.
