Part of Judd’s motivation in the novel is also due to the fact that it isn’t automatic that the resurrected being will be evil. Judd’s dog didn’t come back evil when he was a kid, just off a little, like a resurrected dog would be. Same thing for Church. The real danger is that there is a chance the resurrected person may be possessed by the Wendigo itself, which is wholly evil. That is what possessed Timmy in the past and what possesses Gage in the present. It’s an evil entity and knows your deep, dark secrets. So using the semetery is a gamble, but not a guarantee that it will turn out bad.

I'd have had one of the townfolk idly mention the cemetery to Creed and have Judd warn him against even thinking about it.

The remake was such INCREDIBLE GARBAGE. Scene for scene basically but they just switched roles. It was incredibly stupid. Bad acting, bad writing, bad everything. The original was damn near perfect. Basically the same as the somewhat recent IT movies (it was also crap, had shit actors and replaced people).

I still do not think that solves anything. Regardless of his motivations, Judd knows that the cemetery brings back the dead evil. Why would his gratitude make him think otherwise? What would make sense is if the only the animals came back fine (or, at least, not so bad) since maybe they don’t have a soul (or akin) to human. It’s when a human is buried the trouble starts. That would solve it for me.

I personally like the new movie more than the first one but yeah neither does the book justice. The book is so incredibly viseral with it's terror. Also I think my favorite King book is Doctor Sleep. Amazing follow up to The Shinning.

I saw the movie and enjoyed it, but the ending is the only weakness I saw. Now that he’s a werewolf what about on other full moons? Let’s forget about the super moon for a moment why would other full moons not cause a change? I’ve seen blood moons that are red and orange moons as well as white full moons and each should have an effect to all werewolves. I understand this was an experimental thing to see how many would accept it and in my opinion you did well. But with your success I now need for you to incorporate vampires into the fold because if I’m being honest my all time favorite saga “ Underworld “ left me hanging and this has a chance to bring in vampires and have Lykans, Humans and vampires declare all out war against eachother and groups that work together in this epic ancient battle among the super naturals

I think that the best way to continue the TV series would be in the form of a Theatrically Released movie which explains in more detail the story of the TV show.

I was in high school when the novel was originally published. I bought it and devoured it, reading it in a weekend. It was a true horror novel, total nightmare fuel. Mary Lambert seems not to have understood why the book was so perfectly scary. She completely missed the heart of the story - the relationship between Jud and Louis. She just made a standard ‘80s zombie/haunted graveyard movie. I was SO disappointed by the movie. The casting was bad, too; Dale Midkiff and Denise Crosby were terrible choices. Midkiff had a terrible case of "gay face," looking almost exactly like Liberace much of the time. (There’s absolutely nothing wrong with having "gay face" and I don’t use it as an insult, but his uncanny resemblance to Liberace really made him an awful choice for the role of Louis Creed.) Had a decent director, a screenwriter who understood the story, and a strong principal cast been hired to make a film adaptation of Pet Sematary, the movie could have been great. As it was, though, the movie is laughably terrible.

Avenue Q fan here. I have come to appreciate Wicked after not liking it when i saw it live. But watching the movie reminded me why Avenue Q was the better reviewed show. The length of the movie helps Wicked really shine, the show feels rushed in comparison. Just jumping from one overly produced scene to the next and losing the lay person who has heard that the show is spectacular (i went with older people and to this day they don't like it because they didn't "get it") but are left kind of lost. Avenue Q on the other hand is authentic and tries to do nothing else but to make you laugh, and puts you right in the shoes of the characters on stage. We ask know what is like to be one of them, and that's the charm. To me Avenue Q will always be the rightful winner of the 2004 Tonys

The pet sematary had a hold on Judd, they were connected when he buried spot there. His mind justified him giving Louis the idea, the sematary made him do it. It wanted Church and Gage

here's the thing: blink industries is also working on this website project. and they worked with conaco and super deluxe to produce the wakey wakey pilot, which was only shown twice: once at sundance, and another, more recent one, which was sped up due to copyright reasons (i think.) My point is that out of every single piece of lost media, it is the most likely to be found. the script has also resurfaced, so someone could theoretically remake the pilot, if it's never found.

In the novel it was Gage who tells Judd that Norma slept with all his friends, not Timmy. Timmy just called Judd out on seeing prostitutes himself. Called him a whoremaster.

I'm not even sure I **WANT** to see this movie! Never was much of a fan of Jerry Lewis anyway, and this was so out of his wheelhouse that I can't imagine I could ever see it as anything more than a misguided vanity project.

Get Out was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I was laughing. White Guilt is pathetic.

I think that even though the latest movie as a prequel is not a cannon to Pet Sematary; That Jud would have been a better figure in the movie with his wife, because in the novel it seemed like she gave Jud balance and then died. Jud knew he could have used the burial ground, but he also knew <according to the newest movie prequel>, what would come back if he did bury his wife in the sour ground. Those of us that are die hard Stephen King fans would have been able to infer that Jud knew about the burial ground, not because he was told, but because he knew the horror on a personal level. That even if there was no prequel movie, that you can tell he went through it but wasn't the one who did the burial on those cursed grounds. He just lived it, even if he didn't cause it. I think the new prequel did an okay job of getting that across. Getting across the reason why he could never leave. That something inhabits and drives those that know or have experienced what comes from burying your loved one in those cursed burial grounds. That there's something mentally pushing at those that know. Which is probably why Jud is the die hard in town until someone else knows and can stay to be the guardian over keeping people out. The book is a cliffhanger.
