How ships became the key to global gas expansion
Переглядів 42 тис.7 місяців тому

This is causing severe climate impacts, such as those from the methane produced throughout the entire LNG supply chain, as well as market issues related to an oversupply of ships. Read more on LNG carriers and South Korea's financing of them, as the country where a majority of recent...

The palm oil industry in Indonesia produces 75% of the world's palm oil/25% World vegetable oils. And employs 10% of the population. Not only that, palm oil is also more efficient than sunflower oil and coconut oil, producing 3x more oil per hectare.

This is a major misconception. Wood waste from the timber industry, is what is palletised and used for energy production. Not the the forest itself! The energy process, depending on the process chosen, is considered renewable due to the carbon negative position that the waste comes from, tree waste which has locked in carbon already.

Gasoline in cars is less polluting to the environment than lithium mining and burning coal. Remember EV’s or “new energy” are just a battery storage system that gets its power from the power plant. It’s all a sham to make more money wake up, I’ve been hearing the planet is disintegrating for 50 years now and nothing has changed just the wording on the weather channels.

The fastest way to accelerate Climate Change is to withold inexpensive fossil fuels. Why? Because only countries with strong economies have the luxury to innovate for zero emmissions. To survive, the rest of the world will cut down their forests for heat and hunt and kill all the wildlife for food. Cutting fossil fuels in the short run raises overall emmissions without a cost effective alternative. Until alternatives such as solar, wind, etc. are cheaper and more practical than fossil fuels, forced transition is counterproductive.

From what i knew about biomass, most of power plant use PKS ( Palm Kernal Shell) . And yes they use wood but do they cut wood only or cut and plant it again technic?.

    • @snztechnology

As I research, biogas power plant is the best renewable energy by using left over foods, poops from farms or from human & even from plant scraps from farm like palm oil tree ( famous along SEA country).

You know what else is funny? Making solar panels and windmills that produce pollution and waste dangerous for the environment nuclear is not clean either to mine the uranium needed for the power plant takes a lot of energy and produces pollution, coal, oil, natural gas, are not renewable geothermal energy cant be used in some areas where the heat in the planet is too deep to be drilled hydropower only works if you have a water source what is left? Biomass its not burning trees to make energy you can have biogas plants and algae production plants that use algae in pyrolysis and turn it into bio-crude and biocoke from the refining of bio-crude

The reason biomass is considered as renewable is because the tree that is burned produces less CO2 than what this tree captured as long as it was alive

Burning fossil fuels is responsible for 2/3 of GHG emissions. So yes, we need to phase out all fossil fuels as soon as possible. But we can't stay within 1.5°C by ignoring the other third of emissions. We need to stop those as well, as soon as possible. The good news is that much of those do not need any fancy new tech, they just need a change in habits.
