Where I worked the kitchen was not tipped out and during the summer the servers were making 2x as much some times 3x as much as BoH... We were a good team though, and they'd buy beers after.

As a server. I made the biggest tip ever like 7 our 10 times. Also, after the food is out, the kitchen is only re cleaning limited items and etc. I would give 30% of the tip to them the next shift they worked. During covid, I worked free and only took tips and still tipped 10%. That way, my coworkers could get paid on time. I also asked for delayed checks.
