    I’ve had this amp and both cabinets for years and I like it a lot. Never had issues with it. When using delay, chorus and pedals of that nature I always used them thru the fix return and send connections. I may upgrade the speakers but so far I am very happy with the amp and cabs.

    You say that this guitar is basically crap....I disagree. For a 200 € guitar it is pretty good beginner guitar for metal and rock. The pups are pretty good. Naturally one can make it better when investing double or triple the money to replacement parts. Another reactor said that Jackson pups (by belcat) are relatively good and the tuners decent....I have seen really crap covered tuners in cheap beginner guitars....and in comparison these die cast ones are decent to me.

    I know who they built this amp for!!! They built it for teenagers in the mid 2000s that were lusting over all the JCM 900 and JCM 2000 Marshall stacks all the Mainstream pop punk bands were using back then but couldn’t afford the $2.5k usd it cost for a full stack. Which key is this song in? A minor?

    • @KPGuitarStudios
      @KPGuitarStudios 7 місяців тому

      Yes and kind of? The opening is an A minor chord with notes all in key but it transitions to other tonal centres briefly. Mikael doesn't know theory so I wouldn't say it has any intentional key especially in the chromatic sections, it's got voice leading through many non-chord tones with resolutions eventually in A.

    • @commentarywiseisbias
      @commentarywiseisbias 7 місяців тому

      @@KPGuitarStudios I do not know theory either nor do I understand how people figure out songs merely by listening to it if they do not know any theory, maybe they just remember the sounds of different notes, chords and progressions that lead them there. Thanks for replying, it's a great video!

    • @KPGuitarStudios
      @KPGuitarStudios 7 місяців тому

      @@commentarywiseisbias No worries, thanks for checking it out! With regards to learning music, the simplest thing is to get good at intervals. When you can start to pick out intervals and ideally core notes, then you can start to build the framework for learning music. A good ear is all you need, there's no need for theory but it can help when it comes to say playing a solo over the piece or determining if your note choices are technically correct etc. This song is mostly chromatic like a lot of rock/metal but it does have a tonal center in A for sure

    Only thing I wish the software would add is a "save as default" for whatever is in a block. So if I use a TS with drive at zero & volume full, it will always open at those settings. And the fact that every cab opens with no hi-cut & center mic. A "save default" would be amazing.

      They didn't do any of that stuff of course, that would be too expensive and actually beneficial to the people attending the venue so Slye wouldn't agree to that

      It's not so much about the amount of people but the problems get bigger and bigger the more people are involved. If they run well, no big deal but in a gong-show situation, they get amplified to ridiculous levels

      @@KPGuitarStudios yes I'm more comfortable in venues and dive bars fr. I've just seen a lot of camera shots over festival crowds and I'm like, hell no. Especially in the middle of all that lol. My little 50 yr old ass couldn't handle standing around that long as well. Or again, get trampled on. Of course if I was younger it would be no big deal.

    the $50 per person shuttle alone is mind boggling.. $50/seat for a 5 mile ride on a school bus. With the amount of people that were transported its probably around $1.5 - 2 millon. Bus rentals(43 buses) and driver cost would likely be under $80,000. Where did that money go?

    These amps got a bad rep because of the speaker cabinet. I believe Wayne from Static X used this amp head with a marshall 1960s cab.

      Pretty sure Wayne was using the Valvestate 8100 although since this was the successor to it he may have switched later. It does do the percussive guitar tone thing really well. With the right setup, just about anything can sound decent

    "F*ck you, peasant." You had me laughing quite a bit with that. I know this is a serious video with a serious message but that was funny. If you don't mind, I might steal that phrase from time to time. PS: the classical music in the background? Tremendous. 🤘

      Editing can be lots of fun. Have to say CapCut with an audio mix in Reaper has been a great way to edit videos faster and with much better result than going all in on Resolve. It's a fun little editor

    I am blowing up this comment section. About going viral: If I was to go viral, it would be amazing but then the work really begins! You gotta do it again. There is a freedom to being small and just firing out videos. Now I need to make a new video or two. I have ideas.

      Giver man, yes absolutely, there's some sort of freedom to having some influence yet being free to not have any pressure on you either. It's like when a band plays dive bars and then gets into small arenas, they all seem to want to go back to the energy and fan interaction of the dive bar

    As someone who creates and works on things, I do need to consume somethings and also consume from people in the communities I am in. Sometimes I consume to learn too. I was watching a lot of photography videos back in June and applied that to my own work and got one of my favorite shots. I think that some people may love just learning songs and not posting them. Depends on the person. You and I aren't really the kind of people who want to just watch Netflix after work and say that's the life.

    • @KPGuitarStudios

      100%, creative people just need to create. I mean Kim and I just sat down in the hotel, immediately she's editing photos and I'm looking up a couple of video/audio/business related purchases and next steps. It's great to learn but it's also way to easy to mistake consuming for progress. You need 2 things: info and action. With that you accomplish everything you set out to do and more 🤘
