Greg Lake - Haunted
Переглядів 18 тис.13 років тому
Rainy days, closed cafes, drifting, haunting. Hollow eyes, numb inside, lonely and empty. I'm searching for laughter, for memories brought alive. Places and faces and traces of you. Darkened skies, spot lit lies, aching, awaking. Words return, why can't we learn? Love is forgiving and taking and living in honesty. Truth and affection not cast to the sea. Oh, oh what a fool I've been. My pride l...

Sublime from the day you uploaded it.. trying to rebuild a more concise favorites on a new account... amazing this came to mind so soon (Brilliant song, used to just fade from existence to this)
this man's solo albums are great, it's a shame i've seen almost nobody talk about them
this mans solo albums are great and its a shame ive seen literally nobody talk about it
if anyone out there knows what synths tommy eyre used for this album please let me know which
Obviously the song lacks Keith's solo
An excellent rock beautifully sang by Greg's beautiful voice❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
beautiful song
Magnifique chanson, une ballade estivale pleine de feeling. Gary Moore on 🎸. Chant de Greg lake magnifique. L'album de 1983 est agréable à écouter, varié mais demande une certaine ouverture d'esprit musicale
On umer(
Greg, I believe!
has a sade feel
nice
What a great song. You can feel the emotion in Greg's voice. R.I.P. Greg. You are deeply missed.
Ultra underrated song!! This is a GEM
Who's on background vocals?
Probably Gary Moore. He was an excellent singer too
A tragically overlooked gem I wished ELP worked it into their set
May all the Leaders of the world, BE A SLAVE TO LOVE Tonight
Greg Lake is one of my all-time favorites LONG LIVE ELP
Thank you for putting me in my place.
BIG fan of ELP. Big fan of GL. When this came out and the previous solo album came out I was very disappointed. I was expecting more prog. Maybe a lot of acoustic Guitar playing like in 'The Sage'. Over the years, I learned just how great this album is as well as his first solo album really is. It was my preconceived expectations that made me miss out on enjoying the songs from these two albums over the years since they were released. My favorite has to be 'Famous Last Words'. Funny how having preconceived expectations can make you lose out. Every ELP fan and GL fan should rediscover both of these albums and appreciate them for how really excellent they both are.
My favorite song from this album 😍
Emotional deep song! Great GREG LAKE
Love this song...was kicking heroin and in great pain and doubt..this song helped me so much.
The only ELP type ballad Greg Lake composed as a solo artist.
I would have done anything for him! Sigh.
Love this song.. 12.11.2020
Still My Fav. song 22.10.2020
Absolutely agree, a great singer, but what a terrible compositions: hence, a weak album, and my understanding why this wasn't a commercial success. Yes, Lake made some great things after ELP, or rather with ELP II, meaning, with Powell on drums.
What year?80s,I guess.
Without looking it up, my guess is 1984.
Meh....1983....close.
Piu' rock
Greg Lake at his Zenith ❤🎸🎶
Who's singing on this track? Sounds like BTEC Damo Suzuki
This track could inspired "Thom Yorke".
El ritmo motorik en todo su esplendor!!
Cada vez que escucho este tema me remite a los mantras orientales.
best greg ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The final song of Neu! fantastic debut sounds like a tetric lullaby.
The bucolic touch tinged with melancholy of this lament causes an abyssal diving movement in my subconscious so that I end up feeling apathy before the problems, not as an escape, but as an exercise of self-knowledge
🙏
It echoed his best- and probably was the best of his solo work
Great song
Exactly !!
You had the magic to turn the key!!!! Woohh
😢💔
Am I the only person who unironically thinks this is a beautiful track. The voice doesn't bother me that much. If anything this track wouldn't have the same effect if every note was sung perfectly.
I agree! The first time i heard this track i thought wow ive never heard something like this before.
"wow ive never heard something like this before" And I hope I never heard something like this again. The prior tracks on the album were all much better.
Lolol this song is is hilariously terrible
You’ve learned NOTHING
