If you think that she did not use the word “astral” in the sense of the emotional body, then I would suggest that you re-examine all of her statements in this regard. You will find that she did indeed use it.

@@claudiahelmer4706 No. Blavatsky calls the emotional body "psychic vehicle" or "kamic principle", "the animal nature in man" etcetera. But yes, i will reexamine her statements. She may have been sloppy with language sometimes, and slipped, calling the "Linga Sharira", "Prana" and "Kama" principles jointly as "the astral vehicle" or something akin. She was definitely no airhead though, and she knew precisely what she meant with each term used, although she was not fond of dry academic formality and thus didn't care to create merely syntactic flawlessness, focusing on semantic correctness rather, sometimes meticulously clear, sometimes intentionally vague, using what she called "blinds" to simultaneously reveal to the latently knowing and conceal to the ignorant and unworthy, as a true esoteric author.

@@henrikljungstrand2036 And it is precisely these kinds of arguments that I mean. They are exactly the same arguments that are used against Djwal Khul's books by Alice A. Bailey and that are used against the books by Benjamin Creme (Share International) and ‘Share The World's Resources’. I have not yet met a single person who criticises or proves something to be wrong with pure quotations. You have to read all these books yourself, word for word and sentence for sentence, and watch your eyes and other senses carefully so as not to miss anything or to fall into illusions unconsciously. Then you will find that there are indeed certain passages where it is said! Only your own strict observation counts and your own experience; everything else is hearsay and of practically no value!

I hold the books and teachings of Alice Bailey/Djwal Khul in pretty high regards (although the terminology of this Disciple is really bad at times, and her wise gelugpa Master is too lenient with this, despite his otherwise excellent superhuman qualities, and the very good cooperation between them, thanks in great part to the sincere devotion, honesty and determination of his Disciple), but i don't trust Benjamin Creme or his "Share International" at all, because of severe lack of critical thinking, unforgiveable naivité for a "disciple", and also encouraging the gullible participating in ignorant and twisted "occult meditations"/magical rituals (claimed to be instruments for the Planetary Hierarchy, as if they would ever use ignorant participants for cooperation!) akin to TM in spirit, on his part, despite all the warnings of his "teacher" Bailey/DK, instead preferring to trust his own disguised dugpa "master", who he credulously assumes being part of the Planetary Hierarchy, instead of distrustfully doubting this, as he should, like Bailey did initially! I ALSO don't trust the "anti neo-Theosophy" "back to Blavatsky" movement (although they have a few valid points that - among others - followers of Besant/Leadbeater ought to listen to!), because they evidently cannot see the spirit behind the letter in several places, and they indulge in the *evidently* unreasonable, loveless and unrighteous slander against Leadbeater, Besant, Bailey et al (not recognizing the similarity with the completely undeserved slander against Blavatsky!), while not being critical enough of e.g. Judge (and Tingley etc). As for your remarks about reading every word and sentence on your own, weighing them carefully, and meditating upon them critically though openmindedly, yes it is correct that this is necessary in order to understand more of the subtle nuances and occult meanings. This however, in no way invalidates quoting properly, in order to show evidence for a certain interpretation being very incorrect, and another interpretation being more nearly correct. There are also other esoteric authors and books originating from the Planetary Hierarchy, like Henry T. Laurency e.g., who you might or might not be interesting in reading, i sure have been studying this for awhile, and is finding much value in it, both in a theoretical and in a practical sense. I STILL am planning to find time and space to meticulously study the Secret Doctrine, and Isis Unveiled, by Blavatsky, in order to sort out my own no doubt still lingering misunderstandings.
