What i would like to know can you fit the arm on any turntable and how does it sound

Touraj is the Adrian Newey of turntables. I owned a Xerxes with Tabriz and EMT TU-2, a Xerxes with SME V and Shiraz and I recently bought another Xerxes that had a complete overhaul and it's waiting for a Linn Ekos and DL103. Best turntable ever made!

I enjoy a turntable from a boutique house, hard to beat that kind of manufacturing for specialized products. I was hoping for a discussion of their choice of solutions to the fundamental turntable design issues, but am glad they have a nice manufacturing philosophy.

Always loved Mr. Moghaddam designs, since I have seen and heard the Roksan Darius MkIV speakers (that I still use) and the Xerxes turntable. The Vertere line of products looks very distinct from other competitor brands, with top quality and engineering, sadly very rare from hi-fi products nowadays. Perhaps, some day, Vertere will offer more than vinyl related products and cables… like an integrated amplifier or a dac? :)

That tonearm looks like its made of "Alumaclad" which is used for decorative cladding of exterior mainly commercial buildings,its very thin 1mm aluminum top and bottom and 2mm black plastic in the middle,it can be made to bend around corners if you router a "V" groove on the reverse side,and will bend at the groove leaving a nice crisp corner,I had used a scrap piece as a top plate for one of my DIY tube amp builds,easy to cut but no compression strength,so if you screw a screw in to it to much it will compress,I would imagine that tone arm being narrow would bend.

That dust cover will crack at the back,because the screws are not supported by a plate,the screws will cause that lid to crack.

The DG1S is the first turntable to make me look twice in the last 37 years. I'm just a retired audiophile now but if I were still 'in the trade' I'd have loved to audition one. Could this be the first real turntable for the 21st Century?

a dust cover made in this way indicates that the manufacturer cannot manufacture a normal cover in a mold. This is a handicraft, garage production, with induced shine and glamor.

I own it and dont understand what the screw in the counterweight it used for!?

That is the right side for the end user.
