Great getting out and exploring
Very tempted to make the jump from the 1200 tenere to the Tenere 700.My only fear is comfort on big spins and 90% of my spins are 350 miles and above. How do you think the 700 would do?well obviously it would be fine I'm more concerned about me😂😂
Never been on a 1200 but I’d say seat’s prob more comfortable for long trips. I’ve done decently long rides on the T7 though, no problems. Sore butt after a few hours but that will happen on any bike.
Still loving your t7.would you buy another?
100%. Considering upgrade to newer model.
Nice idea
Thanks. Let me know if you have any suggestions about where to go next.
so I've ridden for years never quite got comfortable with wheelies had an XR 250. I tried to learn on but gave up. But gave up. Now sitting on top of a KTM 1290 went out to a parking lot use the rear brake and flipped the throttle and got a slight lift to the front end. Super fun thanks for putting this out. Going to take it slow though too.
Very cool. It’s a nice feeling when the front wheel comes up a bit. Good luck!
👍👍👍
I think Banksy was born in Bristol and started out there and didn't move to London till the early 2,000 some time. Don't know that much about him but he's a Bristolien for sure.
That sounds right. I since read that he had an exhibition there in 2008 so that's why it's also called Banksy tunnel. Cheers.
Hope you are feeling good, I am 5 and I know exactly what you mean, any day is a blessing and we need to maximize it
I’m guessing you’re 50, not 5.
@ lol 55
Great videos, can I ask what tires do you run on the Tenere and how do you like them? I do mostly road miles and also looking for similar tires
Right now I have Mitas E10s for off road and Michelin Anakee Adventures for everyday riding.
Your videos don't have a lot of view, but they are awesome. Please don't stop !
Wow cheers mate. Yep, more coming soon.
I go up that road, the old military Road many times after work. If you did this today I was probably just a few kilometres away from you working hard add a desk😂
Very cool. It’s nice up there. Don’t work too hard!
Hope you're doing better now. Cheers.
Thank you, yeah I’m doing fine 👍
Hi, thanks for the video. What Klim gears do you riding?
Klim Dakar jacket.
@@FarAndAway1Thank you👍
Beautiful ❤ I work for an Irish firm, and wish to visit Ireland someday, god willing ✝️
Hope you make it!
Hi from County Kerry... what kind of helmet are you using?..
Hi from County Dublin. Bell MCX9
Hey Patrick, can you share where some of those green lanes are - I'm in Bray and looks close to me!
Would love to know this as well.
Love that Bell ! 🫡
It’s a great helmet alright
Ola Patrick, Espero que você esteja bem, este é dos meus vídeos favoritos seus, este dia pareceu ser muito legal ❤.
Thanks :) Fun day!
Excellent job on the filming & editing & commentary champ 🥇
Cheers! Fun out there.
Man down 😂😊
Some tricky spots out there!
Nice one Patrick! You caught the best bits, glad I remembered to keep the visor down while hitting those big puddles, they are really dirty!
Idiotically had mine up. No pink eye though, thankfully.
🤔 have the same bike! But i only remove one caliper ,
Cool, thank you
No problem!
Amazing stuff
Another great upload, thank you. May we have more, please? 😐😘
Working on it!
What is the brand and model of helmet
Bell MX-9. Great helmet but getting a bit old, probably time for an upgrade.
Do you let the abs on or you trun ir off? Front and back or just one wheel?
Doesn’t matter if ABS is on or off. Tires shouldn’t be losing traction.
My favorite part of driving in Ireland is getting the hell out of Dublin as quickly as possible.
Beautiful streets of Ireland ❤ These small building in the city are residential or just offices/commercial?
Dublin City center, mostly commercial, pubs, restaurants, but also flats.
Nice one Patrick. We should get the whole T7's to do this as a group outing. Imagine the noise!!! 🦾😜
Count me in!
man just wheelie no problem if you fall
Awesome, thanks man. Love from Ireland
Cheers. Where in Ireland are you?
@@FarAndAway1 West, Galway Girl 😅
Nice. I’m based in Dublin now.
@@FarAndAway1 Good for you! Did you like the country that much???? 😋🥰
@@Kate-v9d Ha I’m from here originally. Been away for a long time.
Do you live in Ireland? 2 years ago i started my channel doing basically what your doing. I had to diversify a little to ensure the channel survived. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts how you find your view counts. I am wondering if Ireland channels just don't get as much exposure than UK or USA do. It would be great to hear from you.
Hey :) I try not to focus on growing channel. Glad people watch if they want but mostly it’s just for me.
@@FarAndAway1 thanks so it's mainly to keep an archive of your travels. 🤔 Thanks 👍🏻
Mud is never fun. I always find myself having to go faster than I am comfortable with just to avoid getting bogged down.
100%. Took the wrong line, and went too slow. Although tires were totally caked so probably would have come off either way.
Nice one, I’m off on a couple of days Moto camping tomorrow. Fingers crossed for decent weather 😂
Awesome, hope you had a good time.
rotate/tilt your pelvis forward and you wont get tossed back so much when you hit the throttle
Noted!
Super video, as you say, so much beautiful scenery. Look forward to seeing more! Cheers Steve ps, after experimenting with different solutions for my less than comfortable T7 seat, sheepskin, Air Hawk etc, I fitted the Cool Covers mesh seat cover and it's been great. They really do work and look fine too.
Cheers, will definitely look into covers when I do longer rides into Europe.
Wonderful place 👏😻❣️
Where was the dirt road??
Near Gleensk
So, out of curiosity, I was learning and then a crash happened. Lessons learned: Do not hit it with the clutch when there's some sand in the soil. It lost traction and started to tilt to the left until I was on the ground. Punched a hole in the crankshaft cover, leaking all the oil in the ground. I was injured, but I didn't break anything. I was doing 19km/h at the moment I hit it with the clutch. maybe 25 or 30 when I hit the ground. With full gear, my left arm got "burned" and with bruises. Turns out, the protection armor in the jacket, it cramped the skin as I was sliding and where the armor was absent (because it moved as I was sliding), I got the burn due to the friction of the tissue with the ground. Got some bruises also in the leg, but really not crazy, just like a small fall and It went away in a week. Now, I'm almost ok with the arm. I could still drive the bike with this injuries just to tell that it just fine. but the bike lost all the oil plus the hole in the crankshaft cover... TLDR: don't practice this when traction is not guaranteed ; Wear good protection gear (in all parts of the arms and legs); don't get to your bike with chenisium crash bars because they will break and harm your engine more than it can protect. Maybe, I will try it again but in a place where the floor hurts less :D
Wow sorry dude. Wheelies definitely come with some risk.
@@FarAndAway1 yup. Doing U turns and practice the balance in very slow movement it not the same as poping wheelies. I have been driving for a long time (CBR, Sk1rr, so overpowered bikes...) and never crashed. Learned the hard way. (I also own a T7 - the bike I crashed). One thing that is important: get a buddy to be with you. I got my wife (she was practicing U turns on hers) and she helped me out to get the car from home and drive me to the hospital just in case. :)
19 is too fast, start at 5km
Very Nice footage. Just back myself from Kerry. Took the bike on a similar route and did a lap of Valentia Island. Stunning scenery.
Beautiful out there alright. Thanks for watching.
It's a stunning place to ride and explore 🇮🇪!! Cheers Steve
Amazing views out there 👍
I really enjoyed the event. The trail was good fun. Was camped beside you. Pity I didn't get to say hello.
Sorry I missed you. Next year!
Great videos. Thanks
Thanks for watching 👍
Maravilhoso ❤
Thanks for the vid. Wonderful. Could you show us on a map where you have been. Thanks
Thanks for watching. This was a loop of Ballaghbeama Gap, Black Valley, Gap of Dunloe, with a few other stops along the way. maps.app.goo.gl/AV4KUtTRawefXv236?g_st=ic
Nice one Patrick. Looking forward to Part 2! 🦾
Coming soon!
im in scotland this seem event worth the travles to i like booked for next year. no where i can get tickets? bring my partner with me.
This year it was pay at gate. If you want to ride the trail you’ll need a participant pass facebook.com/share/p/7ofGKvNsPL1p81wr. See you there next year!
Try a quick stab of front brake, it compresses the forks, and slows you down before lifting the tire over the obstacle.
I am curious if one could ride a bicycle into Wingo? I know where the winery is, and could bring a bike....Thanks for letting me know!
No cars or motorcycles, but bicycle should be ok. It’s just a long dirt track out there.
@@FarAndAway1 Thank you!
