Being real, you didn't give the game a fair chance. The guy that chases you walks on a set path. The hiding spots are in that path. You have to time it to make him go past and then complete your objectives. All the stuff that you said at the end wasn't really fair and you gave up at the 7 minute mark.

There is a third ending though (something to do with the cars :) )I caused it by accident and was too lazy to replay the whole game so I just came here to this playthrough 😂 Its an interesting game definetly
