Trouble619 Fishing
United States
Приєднався 23 кві 2009
My fishing trips based out of San Diego County. Shore fishing, float tube fishing, party boats, private boats and more. My main target species are Spotted Bay Bass, California Halibut, California Barracuda, and Pacific Bonito, but I'm always up for something different.
Birthday Bassin
Took my son Joseph out on the NSF to celebrate my birthday. Got on the calico's really well. All mine came off the A-rig, his came on a 7" MC Viejo swimbait in red. All in all, had a great birthday out there with my friends.

Prespawn Calicos
Переглядів 36314 днів тому
Went out on the NSF for some prespawn action, didn't have much bait going out, the barge was running SUPER low. Got a few, most bass on the boat were coming off chovies. Couldn't get passed all the mackerel, so I decided to just target them on lighter gear. Used a stop and go retrieve with a Krocodile to catch the majority of them but they were hitting everything.

Took this optional offshoot that is south of Doghouse Junction. More challenging than the main trail and a lot more fun. Stock Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad

Offseason Fishing

A two for one special. 1st trip we headed down to IB along the border for Sandbass, and I hooked up with a bunch of sheepshead. 2nd trip we went back up to La Jolla and did some whitefish fishing. To be honest, not my favorite kind of fishing but catching is catching.
The End of the 2023 Season
Переглядів 1,3 тис.6 місяців тому
My final trip of the 2023 season was a good one. Finally got on a few reds and the boat limited out. Got some good content with my favorite deckhand and even more I can't put out. Hope everyone had a great season and if you happened to come out with me or got in one of my videos, I thank you for the support and contribution. I have even more in store for the next season. Catch you guys out there.
Winter Rockfish

Today we fished deep, 600 - 700 feet, to catch some rockfish. Tons of decent sized greenspots and mexican reds.
Where can I get a umbrella like that
I use a Warbaits War Rig, you can visit their site and order straight from them or find a store that sells their products. I believe Tackle Warehouse carries them too. Several companies are selling Alabama/Umbrella rigs now, just be sure to check your local regulations on how many hooks you're allowed to have
@@Trouble619Fishing GRACIA'S 😎😎
What size?
I use the 6 inch SP Minnow but I also have all three sizes
just missed you bud......back in Tucson. but fished last Tue, Wed, Thurs.....maybe next time
I tried to head out last Wednesday too but the PM and twilight were both full lol
Is it wide open in La Jolla rn?
Yeah it's fairly wide open. Idk if the boat got limits yesterday when I went out but I got a limit of keepers, and 18 total. I'm sure I released a few that were legals
@@Trouble619Fishing nice
Garbage dad
Let me guess you’re driving a Toyota
That looked like a lot of fun. 11:46
It's so much fun out there. The main trail is super easy but the offshoots will range in difficulty.
What kind of car do you have?
I drive a stock Gen 3 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad.
Cool video but what is a target / keeper fish? don't see any coming over the rail
California barracuda got to be 28” inches to keep. Shorts got to be released.
We were initially targeting Calico bass which need to be 14 inches but they didn't really want to play. We got into a school of barracuda, and if I remember correctly the boat got 3 legals, with me catching one of those. California barracuda have a 28 inch minimum size limit.
even in stock configuration its amazing how well these newer vehicles wheel! the traction control, and lack of wheel spin is cool!! looks like fun. Brett Also, we call those little brush scrapes "Arizona pinsripes"
We call em pinstripes too. I don't have em too bad except on the plastic fenders but those are cheap to replace
good job trouble!!!!!
gotta love the New Seaforth crew....great job!!!
Beautiful video, I enjoyed every moment, champion.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Hoping I can get these out once a week.
sick knife jig biters
When are you going out again? Maybe I’ll see you there Brett
Maybe last week of May or first week of June. Restaurant has bee. Super busy lately and it's hard to get out
Bro can’t wait to see you this year on the seaforth new truck is nice hope your ok from accident. Bad back doesn’t help the chef life 😅 later bro from chef dave
I was uninjured from the accident. I actually drove the Benz all the way home from around Clairmont when I hit whatever it was. Most of the damage was in the steering/suspension that had to be replaced.
You literally put on a clinic that day
Were you cruising at Trouble? That’s what I’m doing also, except in SoAz… Looking for deer😁 I’ve seen you on New Seaforth, but didn’t know who you were at the time, I’ll make sure to introduce myself next time!
I was at Otay Truck Trail. It's kinda like my home trail. Might post some more videos of my trail stuff when I'm not fishing. I'll be headed back out on the NSF in a week or two. Be sure to day what's up if you see me and I can try to get you on a video.
50 lb set up on a 3lb fish.
Yeah, that's my yellowtail setup lol but I seem to be doing this all backwards. Catching Calicos on the YT gear and Yellows on the bass gear (in my pfp)
lots of work, but fun> And good fillets!
Heck of a lot of fun. Most of my rockfish goes to my coworkers for ceviche, they've been bugging me all year cuz they don't know that the season doesn't open back up until April 1st.
A lot of work for fish that size.... be well.
Yeah, low gear helps a whole lot. Figure about 25-30 drops per session at 600-800 feet, bringing up a minimum of 1 pound of lead each time.
its always a good day fishing, especially on the NSF!!!
Thank you for video. What charter did you use?
I fish on the New Seaforth out of Seaforth Landing.
looks like a good time,,,,love the New Seaforth,,,best half day boat for sure,,,
I was on this trip also. Nice meeting you. Tight lines!
Did you make it in the video?
All that just to catch bait, cool
yep..... NSF boys are the bomb....love hanging out with them,,Brett
Nice fishing with you buddy
Always a pleasure fishing with fun dudes.
Youll find with circle hooks just winding up will set the hook better than you trying to set it “ like a bass” . Also theres some off set longer shank hooks that are better for deeper rock fishing . They are called easybaiters 🤙 looks like you did good tho !
It's more of a reflex thing thing to "set the hook." 70% of the time I'm not even paying attention to my rod and my eyes are wandering off, the camera really lies with the downward angle lol
Not much point in releasing them when they're dead, bro. May as well keep them and eat them, even if they're a bit on the small side. And Don't give me that "Oh they're fine, they just swim back down and recover" when they have barometric trauma with their swim bladder blown way out of their mouth. 🤣
The small ones get fed to the pelicans. No one is going to waste their time fileting a 6 inch fish.
that looks like a fun day on the water. NSF guys are awesome
It really is. Went out again today (video should drop between Christmas and new years). We're catching limits and got into some bigger grade fish, including some Reds. 2 weeks left until the season closes.
😭
Hell yeah man. That sht looks looks like fun ! I’ve only fished salt water once and it was right there In Mission bay park I think . There were a gang of people , I was just fishing off the bank with a small rig and cut squid , I don’t know if it was beginners luck, but on that day , within 1 hour .. I caught a small midshipman , sharp ass crazy lookin teeth. I caught a couple spotted bay bass, a little shovel head shark looking thing , and a little sting ray. It was so much fun man.
That's how I started saltwater fishing. Just tossing cut baits. There's some real big rays out in Mission bay, I've caught 2 over 100 pounds out there
@@Trouble619Fishing holy fuck.
@@Trouble619Fishing are the spotted bass edible ?
@Edible_Semtex_ yeah, you can eat em but they gotta be 14" to be legal. They'll be similar in taste to sand bass and calicos.
Right, but this guy likes "butt sex." You know that right? Wait. This is a gay sex club right?
The H&K Bolt slap😂
Roaring V8
Yep and the bolt release on any firearm or the slide racking
❤or ping!!
I want to buy a garand just to hear the ping
Or... or... here's a wild thought... men are all different. And not everyone is a gun nut
All men love guns and explosives swords any weapon really... It's genetic. men who don't have problems and probably are gay
Right, only real men.
Aaaaahahahhaaaaaaa so true 😂😂❤
How? 😂😂
Bro...idk. He let his sardine sit out there for minutes. No clue how the entire flock got all tangled up
@@Trouble619Fishing 😂😂😂
Good stuff bro
What rod and what size mono top shot and what lure
This particular setup is a 9' Phenix Black Diamond XHJ, I don't use a mono top shot on this unless I'm out for tuna but I'll sometimes use a foot or two of 40 or 60 lb flouro. The lure here is either a Kicker 15 Heavy or a Tady 4/0
Dragged all of them out of yeh water lol! Love it. Just got a tranx400 today
Good reel. If you plan on throwing A-rigs, upgrade the handle to get a little more torque from the reel. I got mine from Jigging World, just make sure you get the handle from the tranx 300/400. The handles for the 500/Trinidad won't fit.
Great fishing on those Bass what lure is that
It's a Yo-Zuri Hydro Minnow in the Green Mackeral color
Try the bay 7 legal halibut yesterday it’s cus the hurricane
Unfortunately my float tube is out of commission and Classic Accessories hasn't restocked replacement bladders in almost a year. With any luck I'll have a Hobie over the winter.
Nice! What kind of swimbaits do you like to use for your A-rig?
I use Badfish Baddletails for the most part. 4.5 inch undertaker (purple/black) and 4 inch goblin (silver/green/blue flake). If I want to go extra weedless I'll use Kicker PK-5s in a natural color.
You’re Always killing it . I remember you telling me about the avocado! Stay away from that stuff maine !
All the credit goes to the captain and crew. They put me on fish, I just reel em in.
Hell yeah. Looks like a blast.
Charlie!
I fish myself so I know what responsibility comes with it, you should get ur license taken away (if u even have one). Thats not how you are supposed to treat the animals (kicking them back into the water, landing them incorrectly, not keeping the pain for the fish as minimal as possible).
Sure you do bud. Contact the dfg if you really have your panties in a twist.
Looks like a cool boat
Very fun crew. Fast for its size and pretty spacious.
