Fundy Acres
Canada
Приєднався 22 тра 2022
Join us on our adventure to turn our dreams into a reality with our 100+ year old farmhouse, and 20 acre property that has been neglected for over 30 years. This journey will see us renovate our home, and build a sustainable homestead from scratch.
Along with renovating our house, in our upcoming videos, we will be tearing down the old barn and rebuilding it from the foundation up. As well as setting up pastures, we will build animal shelters, as we prepare for animals to start coming to our homestead in the spring of 2023.
Check out our Facebook page, Fundy Acres, for more updates.

Firewood update, pigs and barn cleanout
I really like your old school baler. It reminded me of my childhood. We want to come to Nova Scotia. I hope we can make it. Greetings from Istanbul. I hope all your work goes well. I was wondering, do you only keep your animals indoors in the winter?
@gox-q3h Thank you. The baler actually belongs to my neigbour. We plant to pick up our own hay gear in the spring. We keep our animals a mix of inside and outside in the winter. They hay a paddock or fenced in area to go into, but also shelter for the cold days and nights.
@@fundyacres2022Growing your own hay is very good for livestock. There is another issue I'm curious about. Is it possible to make a living by farming in the Atlantic Provinces? Do you need to do other work? Of course, I know this is a general question. Each person's expectations and abilities are different. Thanks a lot.
Hey guys hru doing great seeing you're all ok, things looking good as always, wishing you guys a happy holidays and a great new year
Thank you. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
That's a lot of work , I hauled some wood the other day but we used the tractor 👍
Plan to use the tractor in the spring to pull stumps, quad is smaller and easy to get around the small road we have cut.
Rose will straighten the calves out and tell them they can't nurse pretty quick . Good job guys .
Thanks for the update. 👍
Yup your great grandfather had cattle that love drinking from the water hose especially when being washed for showing.😊
lol next time... you need colors or numbers painted a live stream and a betting book :) they class piggies :)
@@12bigredd lol, might be an idea
Jealous of the wood boiler bet that keeps you toasty. Our pigs take a day to agree on the Hotwire moving. Are you keeping any pigs through the winter? Got some nice Berkshire breeders available 😉
@FullonFamilywithoutlimits we currently heat the house and 4 other buildings, and keeps them all nice and warm throughout the winter. With a little feed trail they tend to go pretty easy. One goes and the rest follow. We plan on keeping one of our guilty and a couple of the smaller pigs over the winter. Would love to breed her if she gets big enough. If not, then we will definitely be looking for decent breeding stock
I was definitely wondering if they look a bit smaller this time around
@michaelferguson7735 They definitely are smaller. We got them from a different place this year, so not sure if there was an issue with genetics or if we did something wrong feeding them. But they were about half the size when we gor them this year as opposed to last years.
Hey guys hru doing great to hear from you as usual, chickens looking well
Nice work , Olivia sure loves the animals ❤😊
@Allen-de9uh she does. She would spend all day in with them if she could.
Thank you. It's hard to put up new content when it's pretty much the same routine. Hoping to start working on the tractor soon, so will be putting up some mechanic work videos
Great contents as usual guys

Looking great guys things are coming along great just more hard work but very rewarding in the future
Great job guys 💪
Love it. getting her done. I like to process all our own chickens. that way your sure you get your own back
@marcusm4271 we prefer to do our own as well, however with our provincial licence we have to take them to a processor
hey guys!!! I have some questions..... is there any way to contact you?
@@adambrightman yes our email is fundyacres@gmail.com

I love watching your progress! The accidental garden is like a Easter Egg Hunt everyday!
New sub like your video
Everything looking good at this time, this is going to be such a beautiful farm
All the animals look so happy. The chickens really grow fast! Thanks for the update👍
They are Cornish Cross. They go from day old to ready for butcher in 8 weeks. Very fast growing
I really enjoyed watching your daily routine. Awesome about your “accidental “ squash garden! Tell Olivia I said I’m glad she had a great day🎂
Wow guys seems like its a scorcher there in your area be careful
The deer will love them
Sorry about the meat chickens, but the new chicks look nice and healthy! Try to stay cool in this heat. It’s really been terribly hot this year!
Sorry for the loss of your birds.
Forst vid i seen. Subscribed!nn you two are kick ass!
Thank you. We have a few videos from last year and this year. Please watch and follow our journey.
They are really growing fast. It’s so nice they are free from the smaller area and can start “working the land”
They are doing a great job clearing. I will try to get some footage of in behind the tree line.
Wow finally the pigs are free I can imagine how fulfilling it is to work this farm
Honestly, there is nothing else we would rather do. Not only are we filling our freezers with healthy food, we will also be supplying other families as well this year.
Lol . They're squealing milk.
Pretty much. They love it
Wow I feel like I lost a animal so sorry to hear that guys
Thanks Michael. It's one of the realities of farming. And also something to learn from.
@@fundyacres2022 don't I know it I grew up on a farm
Please speak louder ??😮
Using a new camera, got to find the sweet spot with it
I lost one of my goats a couple of weeks ago. Costs a lot for vet services down here and treatment was expensive and he still passed away.
I'm sorry to hear that Ruth. Vets are expensive.
What are you planting in your garden?? Things to feed the animals.
The garden is for us. Shelby has seeds for just about everything imaginable.
Wow coming right along guys ,pigs looking great this place is just growing into a regular every day farm, love it
It is slowly but surely. We registered as a farm this year.
Pigs look like they are adjusting to their pen. I was hoping one or more would get closer to Shelby, maybe next video they will.
They have. We are opening them up to the whole area in the next couple days. And they are coming closer each day
Great job guys , when are you planting ?
Glad to hear that
“Pasture raised pork” says the man that looks like a porker himself. I only buy organic dog meat from Elwoods.
Wow great guys everything coming along great so proud of you guys
Thank you Michael. It's alot of work. But worth it in the end
They are having a time 😁😁
They are enjoying the extra area and running around.
Nice job guys , can't wait to see the pigs , calves and goats in their new pastures
Should be moving the calves up today if all goes well.
You are making great progress!
Thank you. Little by little we get a bit further along.
Love that the pigs have arrived on the farm I love pigs, plus those calves are adorable the whole homestead is just coming along so fabulous, really a great job guys
Looking great! 👍
Great addition guys I'm loving it
Making progress , it's always lots to do 😁
Yes, it never ends.
Great progress on the chickens house. Looks really nice!
Thank you, it's a work in progress.
Poor pigs..never seen, throwing the food into the mud.
Pigs enjoy eating off the ground. They also eat dirt......
