I wish I could share with you some of my photos of how my hair looked as it came back in after chemo. I love my silver hair! I’m having fun with it now as it has grown to a length where I feel confident in pulling it into a ponytail and adding the hair for that. But when I was a little girl, I thought gray hair was really pretty on some people. Especially when it was from the roots to the ends of the hair. So I always said that that’s what I wanted. “I don’t want to have an inch of gray in the front of my hair and the rest is black. I wanted to be gray from root to end.” So in 2017, I had Breast Cancer, I went through chemo, I lost my hair, and when it grew back in, it came back pretty much all white and then turned this beautiful silver 😆🥰

I love short hair but Im not ready for grey hair or if I ever will. My moms hair is beautiful its all white, to each its own.

Getting ready 2 do the do , don't feel like messing with no hair now that I'm older , & if I want some hair I can go buy some . Short & simple !!!

Don’t get your hair cut short unless you got a stylist to maintain it.

Embracing the grey can be a scary thing at first. Wearing a dark fade with a neatly trimmed beard was always my look. My hairline had started receding in my mid 20s and my fix for this was to start wearing hats. I had no problem with this, but then I started to notice the grey coming in my beard. The first few strands mortified me so I ran out and bought dye. Dye hid the grey, but it irritated my skin and the color always came out too dark. I played with the dye for a few years before I got tired of the maintenance, the rising costs and the random bad reactions with my skin. I was still in the salt and pepper phase so I wasn't quite ready to fully embrace the change but as time passed, it started to transition into a silver/white look. That was when I decided to just let it go and embrace the look. I always kept a neatly trimmed beard no matter what but honestly, the white beard seems to get me more compliments than an all black beard. Men will say "nice beard man, I can't wait till mine is all grey like that" or "who trims and lines it up for you"? The response I get when I tell them that I do it myself is always positive. Women will say it's sexy, distinguished or simply that it looks good. I say EMBRACE and keep it neat and well kept!

I'm 71 now but ALWAYS had that inner child in me. By jumping rope, playing handball with youths and beating them at their game, swimming, walk-a-thons, travelling, partying for years on land and sea. Raised two son's which now have children. Now I'm on this hip replacement surgery for both hips, one down, one to go, but honey Momma is getting back to her Inner Childhood soon. My hair is greyish/black but more grey, I need to cut it into a 'a fly style" bcz I do like shopping consignments and vintage clothes mix with updated styles. Someone recently said, "oh that dress all white looks good on you". Thank you. I wear minis, and Maxi dresses and skirts, so No. I wear want I feel for that day. Shopping Therapy. I'm just Living My Best Life😊😊
